My very adult looking 992 C4S replaced my utterly juvenile, wickedly overpowered, fully built Subaru STI. It was a "Porsche-money" Subie with forged engine internals, cams, machined heads, driveline upgrades, different suspension arms, carbon fiber, and a huge list of nerdy modifications. This car was a teenage fantasy brought to life with middle-aged man money. :P Importantly, it was not a style exercise. It was very much a performance build -- handling and power. So, what are we talking about here? 453WHP/419 ft-lbs (about 570HP at crank) on 93 octane pump gas, oh, and the kicker, under 3,000lbs with a full tank. True supercar acceleration and third gear wheel spins at highway speed on Michelin Pilot 4S tires. I went with a factory team 24h Nurburgring livery, because a car like this deserved more than being a sleeper. It was loud, obnoxious, glorious -- and a grand embarrassment to my daughters, LOL. My wife would just laugh at how fast this thing could go. It was literally like driving a racecar everywhere. I owned the STI since new, but sold it to make room for the arrival of my Porsche. Do I miss it? It was entertaining, but it was time to move on.
