I understand the Sport Chrono adds active engine mounts.... what on earth are those? I can't find anything about them online.

The dynamic engine mounts / motor mounts give the car a tighter more responsive feel when the sport plus mode is activated.

You can feel them if you manually shift. In Sports mode shifts feel smoother. In sports plus you feel like the car is kicking you in the back. Makes the base car feel like a track car

The engine mounts stiffen up when in Sport / Sport Plus mode, making for less flex and allowing maximum cornering. They are somewhat failure-prone and cost in 2023 to replace just one is around $ 2K.

Yup one of the reasons why I decided to exclude Sport Chrono package from my build

Are there certain conditions that cause failure? i.e. in Sport Mode + for too long, aggressive driving, or simply happens over time? Thanks

In fact, I didn't see any difference between the two modes. I assume the nannies are less intrusive but didn't see anything else.
