Default Base headlight

Is the stock headlight LED or do you have to pay the steep upcharge for LED's? If they aren't what is the base tech?

Porsche doesn't have a lot of info about the base LED headlights (just that it includes automatic headlight activation incl. "Welcome Home" lighting). It seems like most people are going with this option.

The next upgrade (for $1270 USD) gives you cornering lights, sport mode, high beam assist, etc. If you really want an upgrade I would go with this option.

The top of the line LED Matrix does not seem worth it for me (especially in the US for $3270). The main feature of this headlight (using individual LEDs to mask certain areas) is not enabled for the US.

So the base headlight is an LED? That's really what I wanted to know.

There's a total of 4 options, all are LED.
1. PDLS
2. PDLS Plus
3. LED Matrix
4. LED Matrix Tinted/Blacked out

Here's the link

Base PDLS is also LED. It just lacks any of the turning features of the upgraded headlights. I think the base PDLS (just 'PDLS') NOT (PDLS PLUS with, or without the MATRIX), looks the best because of the softer quad-oval look AND it doesn't come with the silver ring which in essence makes the encasing look like the most expensive PDLS Plus w LED Matrix black look. However, the turning feature of the upgrades does work as intended and helps quite a bit.

See, iffa you're like me, work like a dog for every dollar', been eat rice and beans for months now', and the Porsche your man's dream car that is a little outta reach, basics gonna make me a happy man now'. Little bit a savin', rationin', and hustlin' but look at us now, huh?

If you got the big-leauge money, go ahead and get yourself top shelf now'. We can all play in the same pool now yeah' buddy. We don't gotta swim in the pond no more. LEDs for all, hallelujah.

I stil went with them because I have it on good source that the US will allow it soon, and then it's just a matter of a quick software change at the dealer.

I opted for PDLS Plus just because I thought it looked best with the chrome ring. I think the basic one looks too basic like you got a base model
or something. Makes a huge difference on the look of the car.

Thanks for this. And just to be certain, by "turning features", you mean that the lights do not swivel from side-to-side with steering inputs?

PDLS Plus
Standard PDLS looks exactly like the plus except without the ugly chrome ring

That's true, but the internal housing for the main beam is black in the PDLS Plus compared to the silver in the standard.
