I'm guessing your 991.2 was a C2 Base Carrera. Who/what did you use to get to that HP? How about TQ? Some other questions: Some people have commented that they sense less turbo lag with the smaller turbos Base Carrera than with the S, and that the worst one for lag was the 991.2 GTS. Did you try either the S or GTS? Did the ECU tune you had on your 991.2 C2 cause any additional turbo lag?

IMO Turbo lag DOES NOT exist on a 991.2, whether it is a base, S or GTS. There is no part of the power delivery band in which the 3.0T makes less power/torque than a previous model normally aspirated car.
With the APR tune the throttle is more responsive and the power is dramatically improved (in my case an additional 35% more power). There are many different variables that can affect the turbocharger response, with the greatest variable in my opinion, the load that is placed on the engine. You will alter your style from driving a normally aspirated car, because your mind will figure out the response of your vehicle and the brain/foot connection will adapt.

Yes, to the wind noise question.
