I finally got around to losing the winter wheels for summers. Torqued up to 118 ft lbs but silly me ... I didn’t realize that Porsche took my original TPMS off these wheels and put them on my winter wheels. I did not replace the TPMS when I switched wheels back and now I’m getting an error on the dash. I can’t change the TPMS myself - you have to take the tires off the rim correct ? I’m thinking to just use external air pressure gauge and disregard the dash warning. Any reasons why I should not do this ? I forgot how well the car handles on proper tires vs winters.
TPMS is a great safety feature in addition to showing your pressures. I'd invest in a second set of sensors for the summer tires and have them installed so you don't loose this feature when you change wheels/tires. Yes, requires tire removal from the rims.
Thanks ! Iove more vibrant colors like speed yellow and mexico blue but personally , I stay with white ( 991.1 C4S was white too) and black (C4 964).
Black / gold on 964 is sweet in my book too. I’m doing more of a black and GT silver thing.

Put on a couple hundred miles on her this weekend. I'm starting to appreciate RAS more. On really tight corners, the car pivots in an almost supernatural way. With the car as wide as it is, you don't have a lot of wiggle room to play with so having that maneuverability is a big deal. PCCBs continue to impress - by far the most amazing brakes I've ever used. The power and modulation is just unreal. Zero brake dust after all that driving is just awesome. I've owned other cars that were more flashy -- a GT4 and a Turbo, but this one does turn heads more than I thought it would. Something about a simple black 911 just clicks with people, I guess.

I couldn’t agree more. And I did the same...hasn’t driven it in a few weeks and been driving my Raptor. It’s a pleasure to drive this car. And the PCCB’s are on another level, I agree. A big improvement over the 991’s I had in 2 TTS’s and a GTS. Also better than a 570S I had. Amazing. And also agreed on the RAS.

Ugh this looks SO good. I love black, I just hate taking care of it for a daily driver haha. I do wish I went with the ceramics for my build knowing how much I love the car overall, but oh well. Enjoy!!!

Thanks! This one is my DD. I waxed it Saturday and got it looking beautiful. Of course it's dirty now. Black is a PITA but those 5 minutes when it's clean are just glorious.
Wow the ceramics on the black 911 are absolutely stunning. I almost ordered my 911 in black but every time I would consider it, I would have PTSD flashbacks of the maintenance on my M4. That car looked awful fifteen minutes after a detail.

HouTex - yes, I agree with you. Just a PITA since I just changed them - they’re not that light ! I shoulda weighed them. I’m used to checking manually with a gauge anyway but you are right - it’s there, automatic and that’s never a bad thing. I’m going to do it. Thanks for your input and for the slight kick in the *** that I needed.
