It is odd, but I think it sounds better with the valves closed on the aftermarket exhaust than open. For sure a bit louder than stock

Looked up the specs: 14HP gain, 10ft/lb torque - 18lbs different in weight from stock
Installed looks like it would be around $5K to $5.5K (Unit is around $4.7K)

I’m always dubious of manufacturers’ claims in modern day automobiles of the hp benefits of an exhaust system. I think unless a tune is involved, a cat back system is really being bought for sound. I would really like to hear the system in person though. Noticeably different between the two videos.

Agree - particularly on a slip-on.

You have to take into consideration what exhaust manufacturer is posting the power figures. Akrapovic is well respected around both the OEM & aftermarket industry. This is why automakers like Porsche, BMW, Alfa Romeo, & others tap into them for help on optional performance exhausts from factory. In my opinion, Akra would not openly post power figures on their website if they were false.

If you really want the increased sound you have to pair Akra's Link Pipes with the muffler portion (Slip-On). That is the difference between the two videos.

Both parts are in-stock and I will provide a special deal (while supplies last) to anyone who contacts me referencing this thread.

I won't judge what sounds better by my computer stereo--but that video sounds great (and your car is stunning!!!!).

Was so lucky to have build complete just before factory shutdown. Now just need to get through the break-in miles . . .

Might be misleading. That's a RHD car - might have OPF, in which case the difference will not be the same compared to US models.
