I seem to somehow find places where I need it. Would rather have it than ‘wish I had it’ after the fact.

If your driveway curb is especially bad, check our Bridjit ramps.

I used Bridjit ramps at our old house and they were a game changer.

I know this is an old thread, but can someone tell me at what speed can you activate the front axle lift when slowing down? The entrance to my neighborhood has a slight angled bump off a busy road and I normally have to slow down from 50 mph to 20-25 mph quickly before taking it in a SUV. I know I will have to slow down much more in the 992.

Porsche configurator says can be used up to 19 mph but doesn't say when you can activate it when slowing down. Leaning towards ordering the FAL on a 992S with SPASM.

I am glad that you brought it up. My build locks in two weeks and this is the last option I am thinking about.

I heard 22 mph from my SA but others on this site say they can activate up to 40 mph

I used the level app on my i-phone to determine that I had a 6% ramp from road to beginning of drive.

I bought a 992 with the sport design front/rear and had borrowed a 4s 992 with PASM and I had about 1/4"
of clearance. That was with no one in the car and was advised to buy front axle lift....

Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend getting the SD front fascia without FAL.

My experience has been that it lowers exactly at 40mph. I believe 37mph was for the 991 FAL.

actually, the opposite is true. unless your car is a garage queen...the more places you drive your 911, the more places you find the lift is useful or even necessary.

I would recommend it for anyone who drives in a true winter climate. I find myself using it constantly when driving on snowy side streets and when pulling into my driveway.

Thank you guys. That’s great that it can start lowering under 40mph. Just enough time for it to raise before I turn into the subdivision. This will be a DD for me and the more places I drive, the more random speed bumps and steep entrances I find. Definitely optioning the FAL.

You'd be surprised how well the FAL works, it can get up some pretty steep and nasty looking bumps and angles wtihout a scratch. I had it on my 991.2 GTS and added it again on my 992 with sport front kit.

Thanks for this advice. I was about to drop FAL on my build but then it dawned on me, pulling into my non-steep driveway when there is some post-snow slush at the entrance would make it essential.

FAL has been working great for me. I've driven up to my key road transitions and it really makes a difference. Once a location has been programmed it's automatic.
