PASM Vs SPASM Comfort/Appearance
my SA said they (San Diego Porsche) had installed one set of SPASM springs on a non SPASM 992 so far. When inquiring about lowering my PASM 992 that is what he suggested as they won’t install anything aftermarket.
IMO the SPASM 10mm drop would just not be enough, mine needs to come down at least 25mm in the front to look respectable. Do the Bilstein coilovers!
whoa I didn't realize this would work. I always assumed SPASM was more than just a spring swap. Drives me nuts you can't get spasm on targa, this would be a good option. I don't need the car totally dumped, but the standard pasm is just too high.

It is, more than just a spring swap that is. It's also stiffer sway bars, different shock valving, and of course the different front 'splitter'.
I have just ordered this exact work to be done.....SPASM springs on a PASM equipped car.....and will be done by my dealer as soon as the springs arrive. As you do, I want a slightly sportier look for the car and surprised this option wasn't available from the factory - and nobody seems to know why it wasn't. With that said, I will be sure to post a picture of it when it is done.

winner!
spasm is just too hard for me, on roads I drive on. Had a spasm loaner, on good roads it was fine, but any imperfections and it was bloody terrible. I couldn’t pay extra for it to sit lower but ride worse, imho of course! Interesting to see how spring swaps work out, but I have pdcc which may **** that up a bit.

I’m coming from a Honda CR-V which I keep for beach, groceries, and the days I have to haul stuff between offices. I went SPASM on a cab. It’s a tad stiffer but a controlled ride. Doesn’t bounce around. And actually, on slightly bumpy sections of pavement, the SPASM actually feels better than my CRV which takes more than one motion to settle. The 911 settles immediately and moves on. Very happy with my decision.
