Serious question. Maybe rhetorical. I wonder if our kids will have the same kind affect by having a real P car in their garage as opposed to seeing a poster of it on the wall like I did.

I couldn't sleep for weeks until I could get my "learner's permit". I had a 5 year old Opel Ralley which was fun to drive but I digress.... Many kids these days just sleep for weeks...But...if there are only 110 or so 911's made a day there aren't enough to go around anyway so all I can say is...."keep on dreaming" (whether the dreamers are kids or not) ....

I will say, seeing friends who love a certain car and "finally" get one because of their dad having one, makes me think he'll have an affinity for it.

i wonder this all the time. My kid has it good. Part of my drive was not having much as a kid, and being a car nut, getting a Porsche was a goal, one measurement of financial success for me. He's always been a car kid, and when I had my Audi S4, he LOOOOOVED Audis. Now he LOOOOOOVES Porsches. But who knows if he'll chase after one.
I will say, seeing friends who love a certain car and "finally" get one because of their dad having one, makes me think he'll have an affinity for it.

We don’t have kids yet but hopefully they grow up appreciating it and the car community in general. Most kids nowadays don’t care to even get their license.
