Actually on the contrary, lets assume you are not driving the car much or maybe at all during the winter months (as an example) - you are better off with a modern charger keeping it on, rather than letting it drain significantly off the charger, and then putting it on to charge "fully" again.

I don't know for sure but my impression is that most batteries don't "like" to be 100% charged at all times. Something like 70% is optimal for battery life. This may only be true for Li batteries.

There is wild debate around this. Our Tesla recommended 80%.... not for battery reasons but so one pedal driving and regen braking still worked. (Can't regen brake at 100% battery)

Been talked about to death... conclusion:
don't leave your vehicle permanently connected. Charge for a given period then disconnect for a period, same for laptops etc.

Most items have a built in BMS so you don't need to do this. Even smart battery chargers will do this for you.

I DD my Targa 4S (with RAS) so have a LiPo (the LiPo is expensive and some on the forum have experienced issues - I have not had any thus far) - I have left my 992 off charger and not started for 3-4 weeks without an issue. I tend to not let that (or any of my other cars) go much longer than that without hooking them up. I have charger stations in both my garages with the appropriate charger (LiPo or AGM) by each car. (I make sure to mark each one clearly so not to hook up an AGM one on the LiPo if I shuffle my cars around) - CTEK makes all of them look a like - so I use bright paint on the LiPo ones... If I do not drive them or not going to for a few weeks, I stick them on the maintainer. No harm at all, and frankly piece of mind that they will be ready to go when I do go to start them.
PS. Also your new iPhone and Laptop also protects against this now - if you have a newer laptop or cell phone.
Been a lot of advancements over the past few years...

I am just doing EBC lower dusk brake pads, it says in their literature that they do no harm rotors. My OEM rotors only have 1500 miles on them. Are you saying the EBC pads will harm the rotors? If so, what rotors do you recommend?

I'm suggesting that ceramic pads are too tough for regular rotors. If you're going to install ceramic pads you should get compatible rotors. Also (referencing your avatar) and as an FYI, ceramics are terrible in cold. Of course not an issue in Atlanta

Every modern charger has a maintain mode, will not hurt it in the least. I have several collector cars, I have on modern CTEK chargers not just for weeks, but years. No issue at all. (not including when I start them up, move them around or take them to shows - of course)...
