992 was CARB certified on 9/18 per a call to CARB yesterday. But I see no status change on my car.

For Ohio it is probably Davisville, RI. You dealer can verify that with their inventory tracking app. It specifies the ship leaving Emden and will show it in port by now.

CARB update on website might take a day or two. If you are correct that is fantastic news - ties in with my hoped for approval timeline of 20 Sep.

it seems that PORSCHE updates the order status reports on Fridays and it is still Friday in Germany - should see status change later today USA time assuming that your information is correct. In the case of the EPA approvals, reports indicate that Porsche got cars to dealers quite rapidly after that approval.

is there a way for me to keep tabs on my car sitting there? I know dealer told me they would get in touch as soon as it is on the way to the dealership but I'd like to also be able to see if it's on its way. So frustrating that 1st and 3rd production run were cleared for dealership delivery but production run 2 (MINE) is stuck in limbo with zero explanation as to why. Just chillin at the port.

The status change will be reflected on the same tool. Your Dealer/SA will know as it will become part of the dealer’s inventory and they will get an invoice from Porsche when it leaves the port. I had to rely on my SA to inform me of this and send me screen shots of their tracking tool.

As I recall that was for a battery/electrical recall. Go to the 992 RECALL thread on this forum. There is a link there where you can put in your car's VIN number to verify if is part of a recall. Your dealer can give you your VIN number. Here is link.

I just entered my VIN number and it states 0 Unrepaired Recalls. So I'm assuming it isn't that? There's some "part" though that is holding up the second (or at least some of the second) batch of manufactured 992s. 5 from the dealership I am purchasing from.

My dealer says "probably true" regarding CARB approval but status report for "Exit Port" has changed from September 27 to October 4.

And then another week from Exit Port to dealer, I’d guess. So mid-October now?

Did anyone hear anything else today? I guess the day has come and gone with no approvals.
