Default Wheel Regret...

Here's my crazy dilemma, my 992 C2S will be here hopefully September 13 and I'm having wheel regret. I originally configured my car with Carrera Classic Wheels Pic #1 and at the last minute I changed to RS Spider Wheels Pic #2.
I think the Carrera Classic wheels look much better with chalk now that I've had time to really think it through and I've heard the RS Spider Wheels are a nightmare to clean... Any ideas how to get the Carrera Classic Wheels and not end up with two sets of wheels? Swap with someone in my same situation that has their car coming around the same time? I'm located in Pennsylvania. I know... First world problems 😩 Thanks

Those Spyders look nice but will take a long time to clean.

Talk to your dealer.

They may have a set around, or be willing to swap (with +/- cash exchange)

Personally I like the RS Spider Wheels more.

The Spider wheels look 10x better to my eye. The darker colors aren't usually as hard to keep clean either.

I had the same dilemma. I personally prefer the look of the spider wheels but went with the classic wheel simply for ease of cleaning.

Fwiw the spyder rims look much better irl than the pictures so I feel you made the right choice. Perhaps invest in one of those high pressure washer devices and spend a little more time on the wheels. Also I find that the more spaced out rims show more of the dirt and grease on the inside of the rims and on the calipers/discs (which are even harder to remove)

Good idea from ipse. Also, consider yourself lucky. Wheels can be replaced easily. Imagine if you had regret on the seats or leather combo. You are in PA.....get your self a set of winter wheels with the wheel set that you like. That way you have both.

It's also perfectly normal to experience regret. Porsche should block the configurator for all new buyers until after their car arrives. lol. We've all done it.

The Spider wheels look much nicer to me. Have them ceramic coated (as well as the entire car) and they will be much easier to clean.

I wrestled with the same dilemma as the OP. I'm just slightly obsessive/compulsive when it comes to keeping the barrels and calipers clean and that would be a bit more of a chore with the Spyder... but still doable. I think the OP will be happy with the decision to go with RS wheel set!

Spyder looks much better than the flower looking Carrera S wheels IMO.

I'm a fan of the Classics, but the Spyders look great on a white car. You should have no regrets. By the way, the car is very nice.

they are both just ok, get a set of HRE wheels or something if you care a lot about wheels

The Classic wheel is the best wheel because it is a forged wheel and therefore lighter than the others. Easy cleaning is another plus.

But I do agree that for the color you bought, Spider wheels would look great.
