I have always found it curious that people select wheels based on ease of cleaning. If you're that pressed, have them coated, and have a detailer come round once a week. I haven't cleaned my own wheels in some years and don't plan to start. Especially as I age, I have no desire to be hunched over fussing with the wheels, or lower part of body panels, etc.

Depending upon where you are, a good mobile detailer will do deep clean for ~300 and then maintenance cleans for under 100. In smaller, less populous cities, I imagine it would be substantially less. I'm in the DC metro area.

That said, I am not at all obsessed with my cars being spotless at all times. I even enjoy them being a bit dirty. And then when I do get them cleaned, I appreciate it more. I suppose I'm lucky to not care as much.

I definitely obsessed over my selections well into delivery and then even some afterwards (of my 991.2). But get behind the wheel, and all such concerns fade away.

BTW - I prefer the Carrera S wheels on these cars over the alternatives. I wish they offered the GT3RS wheels as an option - those are 20/21 also. Those are by far my top choice.

Cheers! Enjoy your cars in good health.

Ceramic coat the wheels professionally ( about $ 100 a wheel) and that is that to keep them clean as possible........

I had the entire car ceramic coated inside and out, plastic, leather, wheel wells, door sills, etc... smartest money I have ever spent.

I think that's probably overstating it a bit.

if you knew how much stress and anxiety a dirty or dusty car creates for me you might actually agree (contextually speaking)

That’s why I chose chalk as the exterior color. It doesn’t show road grime or dirt and allows me not to stress about having a clean car.
