Seriously, this is one of those pointless options, You really don’t see it at all when in the car.

I’ll see it……because I know it’s there. The interior space of a car is important to me.

Nope. I didn’t spec. Glad I didn’t. The standard fabric lining is perfectly fine.

Standard lining looks cheap. The interior pillars and roof look much better in Alcantara. Similarly, full leather package is the way to go. The inside is where you should be spending most of the time with this car, i.e., driving.

Ever since I got my Macan Turbo (I believe all Porsche Turbos model have alcantara roof liners), I felt it just looks so much more luxurious and provides character and texture where a fabric does not. I would have ordered it for my Targa but it's not an available option. I think it will have it on the b-pillar liner though.

I could live with a less desirable exterior color than have an interior that I interact with all the time that is off. Especially for the money.

I added it to my build. Mostly for the A pillars which you see ALL the time. And, since I don't have a sunroof, there is a large space that gets upgraded.

first car I had it in was a 996 C4S. Almost every person that got in that car commented on the “suede” headliner… it’s actually quite noticeable and very much a crowd pleaser.

I had it on my 2 997’s. Or did I? Can’t really recall. I’m joking, of course I had it but could care less and was just grateful it wasn’t on the seats or steering wheel. Horrible stuff.

I have it on my Panamera GTS and it looks/ feels very nice. I appreciate it every time I look at it.

‘I would drape myself in Alcantara if it were socially acceptable.’

Not really. I only noticed it was on the roof when I burned it and it melted. Then I really noticed it when Porsche decided to make us pay for it. Cunning of them. Very cunning.
