Few notes:
Rear fender flare is bigger and more exaggerated than imagined and looks really nice.
Interior quality is top notch and touch and feel of buttons and triggers are very solid.
New 5 double spoke wheel looks very sharp and neat in real person. I thought the design was a little weak and not fit for 911 but my mind is changed now.
Steering wheal with GT option is fabulous. I thought it was a carry over from 991 but they added all the little details and rebuilt it, and the design is more compelete.
The sport response and drive mode select button next to it did not change; still wiggly. why aren't they fixing this??
Fake exhaust not a problem. Nobody really knows unless you put you hand behind it. and who cares. The tip looks big and oval and powerful and nice, and really completes that rear design.
Sportex seats does not have that 'expensive look' and rather look like cloth seats. They also don't look so modern nor do they grab my thighs and buttocks in position like the alcantara material. It's pattern might even look like fake bottega veneta.
Well, it's not that bad but I was little bit dissapointed. I expected it to look even better than Alcantara.
Bonus: Macan's Bamboo Green is very attractive. I have high expectations for Lizard Green!!
While I don't particularly like the black trim of the console, I have to laugh at the incessant complaints of it being a fingerprint magnet. I mean just don't touch it for f-sake. It's not a touch screen. And if you eat French Fries while driving, you especially should not touch it. Why don't people complain that black cars are finger print magnets? If you smeared your greasy fingers all over your black cars, they'd look pretty bad too.
Damn it, when I rub my greasy fingers on the black trim it looks terrible! And when I do this it hurts!
I’ve been trying to tell everyone that the interior of the 992 is not good. The center console is terrible and the rest of it isn’t much better.
In person I actually liked the rest of it more than I expected. I don't even mind the nubbin if it was integrated in to a more attractive center console. Crazy how cheap it looks it drives me nuts. And its not just the shiny plastic because if you sit in a panamera it still has shiny plastic in the console but it doesn't look cheap to me.
My wife and I saw the 992 about two months ago. I thought the exterior was good looking, she thought it was just ok. But once I got inside I was really turned off. The interior of my Panamera is gorgeous, the 992’s interior is nowhere near as nice.
It's the "M" button below the parking brake button.
Also assuming it's like the current gen, you can always just press a paddle to shift and it automatically goes into manual mode
