Or buy elsewhere and have it shipped directly to your local dealer via the Courtesy Delivery Program. PCNA will pay the receiving dealer up to $600 for the PDI and I had set that up when I ordered a Targa 4S last year but when I did not go through with it when I ordered my Targa GTS at a different dealer within driving distance. For example, Florida dealers provide a nice discount (PM me for a contact if you want one).

True, I know the Corvette people do that a lot, for example... but I can't believe the local dealer is very happy about it, especially when it comes time to schedule service appointments/loaners, or to ask for goodwill on an expensive out-of-warranty repair.
I'm not exactly a stalwart defender of the dealership model, but I suspect it's false economy to try to beat every last pfennig out of new-car purchases by shopping remotely. Especially when ADM isn't in play... which is not an issue if people are talking 5% off in the Seattle market.

I see nothing wrong with it, especially if you are going to use your local dealer for service and warranty work, which they do get paid to do! And besides, Porsche offers the Courtesy Delivery Program that I mentioned above so it cannot be that bad.

I don't have a local dealer. Mine is three hours away. Fortunately they have a free delivery policy to home; which they have offered to do.

send me a private message and I’ll share the name of my dealer and salesman’s personal contact. Just mention my name “Sam” when you contact him.

I'm in the same situation in Bay Ares. Have not found any dealers offering more than 1% discount on C2S build with $148K. Can you please share who offered you the 5% discount in Bay Area.
