I was down at the dealer today and despite saying i would never get a 992 due to the nubbin and the really bad rear light i ended up locking in a 992 S Cab allocation about 30 minutes ago. It looks like an August / September delivery date so i am now officially one of the 991 haters that is now on the 992 train :-) (Im keeping the 991.2 RS, this will be my new daily driver
Congratulations, but I’m curious about what changed your mind about the 992. I don’t recall if you were one of the unrelenting 992 bashers or one of the more measured critics, either way I think it’s interesting that you bought one. I really like the look and think once the haters see it in person they’ll be converted...whether they admit they’re converted will be another story.
I never really bashed the 992 publicly mostly because i was a huge 997 guy who promised myself that i would never buy a 991 and three 991's later including two GT cars I love the 991 version. I am not a huge fan of the nubbin and the rear light but i will say that as the owner of a new generation Panamera the interior and tech is a huge plus.
My overall view is that progress is inevitable and when it comes to daily drivers, it's much better to have the latest tech. Plus, haters are going to hate and the reality is we all need to keep our dealership relationships and loyalty to keep those GT allocations coming :-) (sorry, not trying to start another ADM etc discussion but it's the reality of the world)
Hey captainkirk
All is good, I agree some people just need to see it in person. I personally love the body lines will have to get use to the inside though I think. I have had a share of Porsche's (88) 911, (03) C4s 996, (15) GTS 991.1. I think there is a lot of good changes and some not so ideal, time will tell.

Wow, that is a good collection of cars you have driven.
Looking forward to see your reviews, as your delivery time approaches, I am hoping my local dealers by then will have the 992 for me to check it out.
fstgtbti, That's a hell of a lineup of cars you have.
Jax15GTS, Congrats on the order.
I have a deposit on two allocations whenever they're finally available - a manual S coupe and a manual base Targa. I'm hoping both will be announced soon. By the way, I'm glad there's a hater thread. That way I can just skip over it and read useful info on the 992. I just wish the haters would keep their comments to that thread.
