Official waiting room for those with a new 992 on order --- come on in !!
That's what I was thinking. I put an AirTag in my car and it was showing at the port every time I looked since it arrived around March 7th. The day after SIEM ARISTOTLE docked it stopped showing its location and started showing the location for March 1st at Leipzig. Hoping it got loaded and cannot communicate now.

I jammed it in the crease in one of the back seats. Considered the frunk. Was second guessing my location when it stopped communicating and figured one of the loaders disabled it if it notified them there was a tracking device following them. Most likely the AirTag just couldn't find any bluetooth devices with cell service for an extended period of time. It then reverted back to the last location we were both together. I will be sure to let you know when it pings again.
Not WiFi, it would have to bluetooth pair to someone carrying an iPhone and then report its location. Do container ships at sea have WiFi for the crew? Maybe. But then the crew person would have to be carrying an iPhone on the ship's network, and be in the range of your car.
You would think however that once the ship docks someplace and the unloading process at the port begins, it would ping.

Indeed, if I was going to tape it someplace - it would be inside one of the sun visors - proximity to the windshield gives it the best chance to connect to some phone, rather than burying it under a seat, etc.
I like idea even better! Since I bought a 4-pack I might hide 2!
After you're loaded your SA can tell you. Or you can look at the source code on the page for the IMO number and then look that up.
Lots of folks on here are guessing because their car is at the port and cross referencing against the shipping schedules, but that's not a guarantee that your car will end up on the next ship in headed to the US import destination.

As I'm sitting here on this Sunday afternoon, with my T sitting at the Port of Emden I realized what I'd really like to see...
I'd really like to see a picture of my car, buttoned up and ready to ship.
The photo on the lift is nice - but the spoiler's up and the frunk isn't closed, and the "photos" of my build on the website are just renderings. I know I'll get some fantastic photos of it when it arrives at PEC ATL... But at this stage of the process I'd like to see a "done" photo, even if it's with the protective wraps in place...
