Shipping to the West Coast takes a lot longer as the ship has to steam down to the Panama Canal and sometimes anchor waiting to get onto the canal and then as the ship comes up the coast, I have seen the ship stop at a number of ports along the way. Finally getting up to California and San Diego or San Francisco. Also, possible that fewer ships going to the West Coast than to the Eastern United States ports. My Panamera that is finishing on December 16 will get shipped to Houston oddly rather than to San Diego which is closer to Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles. Why? After it gets to Houston the car will have to get trucked to Los Angeles at, I assume additional expense for Porsche. Maybe they were hoping to get the car to Houston before December 31 so they can ask me to pay for the car which will make it a 2022 sale. Also, more chance for poor sea conditions that force the ship to slow down when on a much longer voyage. This is all like watching water boil --
On the other hand, you're getting a GT3 Touring that most of us can't get. You win dude....lol. Congrats!!!! Enjoy your car! Hope it brings you many years of happiness.
Thanks!
Much appreciated.
I think I'm gonna head out over to Benicia and toast the Glovis Clipper when it steams past the First Street pier in downtown Benicia around 12/23.
All the 911/718 guys are lucky as you might get photos and can at least entertain yourself with the My Porsche app to sometimes see the progress of your vehicle. I have a 2023 Panamera 4 Hybrid Executive being finished at the factory this week (16th) and Porsche provides ZERO information on the status or location or arrival date for the car that a customer can access. The car has an MSRP of $168,000 and yet I guess Porsche believes only guys with a sports car on order are interested in the progress status of their clunky sedan or SUV.
With all the billions that Porsche as around -- they could hire a software group to build a comprehensive and functional car tracking system for custom orders -- for all their models-- at a cost that would be rather trivial for the company. Aggravating all their **** customers with the current unreliable and inaccurate online system would seem to suggest some executive needs to be terminated. Also, this would stop all of us calling and emailing our sales associates to ask for new information on our order.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE HACK
You have to use a PC. Right-clicking on a Mac doesn’t get you the correct menu. If someone knows how to do it on a Mac, please let me know.
Log into your MyPorsche account
Right-click on “Track Your Dream”
Click “Inspect” from the menu
In the headings across the top, pick “Network”
Refresh the page (very important!)
Near the bottom, click on a folder labelled “orders?include-full-content=false”
On the right pane, make sure the heading “Preview” is clicked
In that right pane, click on the arrow in front of “0” to turn it down
The 4th line down from the “0” starts with url: Copy that line after url: (starts with https://) and paste it into the url address at the top of a new web page. Your 1st photo will show up.
Do the same for the next arrow in front of the “1”. This will be your 2nd photo
Some people have a 3rd photo too
I think it will work on a mac by using chrome as the browser instead of safari. I ran into a different issue attempting to hack with my mac.....I have 2 cars in TYD, the one I want to see if there is a 3rd picture of was the first ordered. When I get to the refresh part of the hack TYD goes back to my most recent order which hasn't even reached the freeze point yet.
I just assumed I didn't get the "completed build" photo and had come to peace with it but now it's killing me to know it may be out there but just not visible to me lol........ Any else run into this problem? TIA

Don't get your knickers in too much of a wad because 4/5ths on the information they give us 911 customers is inaccurate and is nowhere up to date.

You can use Google Chrome for Mac. I just tried it using your instructions and it worked. But I am still stuck on V000 so no pics. Thanks.

4th TYD delivery and I have never had a completed photo. That would be cool. Every-time I get the photo you posted, and sometimes the front view as well.
