I would have fought really hard for a duck tail but I was really never sold on the aerokit design so when they cancelled mine I just put it towards more goodies that 6k freed up (side skirts...).

So, yours got cancelled by the manufacturer? When did you place the order?
I believe early January and my build was kicked back when the dealer submitted it. Folks from overseas mentioned the same thing with some getting through whilst others were kicked back. At one point there was a rumor that it was because there was a shortage for GT3s but that's false as those use a totally different set up. IMHO it's a Q&A issue and Porsche (as all of the VDub family) will never own up that there's an issue with anything. So it's anyone's guess but the latest word is there's no aerokits until 2022.

My SA agrees with you. He said I have an oddball build and wanted me to assure him that I would buy the car since he doesn't sell many with aerokits.
I like the way the aerokit looks and the front facia change that comes with it.
While I don't like my SA attitude and lack of motivation, I respect that different people have different tastes. I think the duck tale would also look really good. The GT3 has a mini duck tail under the big spoiler and it looks great. Hope you ended up with what you want. Oh, I saw the same Guards Red Carrera on my page. I think it is a stock photo. I did not get a production pic.
If it wasn't so exorbitant I would have opted for the PTS and Gulf Racing colors, but $13k and 6 month delay.. If I'm really in 917K pining mode some months down the line I may opt for a skin version at half the price

You can only get PTS if your allocation coincides with their PTS paint production month which is now between mid March to mid April. Dealers will not tell you this. Otherwise you have to wait until the following year. Porsche only paints PTS once a year. I can write a book about this. Good luck with your delivery.

I thought it was twice a year. But for that price a wrap is preferable. Thanx for your wishes, going to be a long two months wait; it's exited production according to TYD. Aloha from 65 North
Cars often land up on boats earlier than expected especially when talking Davisville. You will know if it gets on as TYD will update to the new date and the new ship and if your TYD does not show it your SA will be able to see. Generally if you are in Emden 48 work hours prior to loading you stand a reasonable chance of getting on an earlier boat
Thanks Craig. Also wonder if the more expensive and customer ordered cars like ours get priority at the port? Perhaps not. Probably a logistical nightmare.
