I am starting to wonder how many 911 owners actually spend the money to do full PPF when the car will not be tracked, and will just be a weekend car. Obviously with a $200k car, I don’t want to cheap out on this… but I’m really starting to wonder if it’s actually worth it. Maybe just a paint correction and ceramic coating, along with PPF just on front bumper and rear wheel area will suffice. Sorry.. I’m sure there’s plenty of other threads on this topic, I should just search for it!
After quotes for full front (bumper, hood, pillars, mirrors), front bumper only, and side sills and rear fender; I ultimately decided on just the front bumper and a decent section on the rear fenders (for just under $1,000). From my last car, those were the areas that took the most damage and where I wanted to protect, so I could drive the car and not worry about every single thing every time I drove it. Probably day one, I'll take a rock to the hood, but it is what it is...I'm also doing ceramic coating for ~$1400 for the first time, so I'll see how that goes. I honestly don't know if I'd do anything differently in my case if it were a daily driver. I'd love to wrap the whole thing, but I just drew the line here based on cost vs. (perceived) value.
My Targa GTS finished production on July 12th - I'm currently waiting for a boat at Emden. My delivery hasn't changed (yet....), still shows Aug 10 to Sept 10.
Dicecal, where did you hear that Aug 5-30 would be summer shutdown dates? My 992.2 build is scheduled to start production tomorrow, but not complete production until late August. Am hoping it gets finished before the shutdown!
I know Aug 2nd is the last day, not exactly sure when they start up again. I assumed 4 weeks, but maybe less….
Has anyone received noticed that they were loaded onto SIEM CONFUCIUS? It is departing Emden now. First destination is Halifax then onto Jacksonville and Freeport.
I'm assuming its due to the new regulations from Washington State that all new Porsche 911 require Plant Base fuel only and in addition noise ordinance for NO loud exhaust, waking up homeless?
