I see your point, but in my experience, I’ve never heard anything from any of the sales associates that I’ve dealt with from Porsche until a day before my car is ready for pick up. My car is due to deliver in 2 or 3 weeks. The last contact I had with them was when they asked for a deposit back in May. I reached out last week to see if they would put an S lip spoiler on my base during dealer prep and they responded that my SA is on a leave of absence. Sales Maager said she’d get back to me the following day. That was 4 days ago…

 

Is any of the add ons in writing and are they standard across this dealership? Reason I ask is, I picked up my car last week and I had agreed to a small ADM 6 months ago, when I was given an allocation. During the pick up, I was super excited and the numbers were close enough to what I was expecting that I didn't pay attention to the final $$ at the time. After picking the car up, that evening, I realised I was never charged the ADM. Something didn't go from the sales rep to the finance person and I ended up with my car at msrp (plus porsche platinum coverage (this was me asking for it), which is going away on a few days). I'm not calling anyone to say anything at the dealership, but my contract of sale is just for msrp plus the porsche coverage.

Turns out I am on the ship Lake Taupo. Any idea what eta is for Freeport/Houston port?

 

My SA is projecting 27 July based upon what he sees on his computer or possibly sooner.

 

My 911 is ahead of the production schedule and presently is on a ship. The projected completion was 3 July but actually completed on 27th of June with a delivery date of the 8th of August but I suspect it will be sooner than that. Good Luck!

 

Looks like my car has been delayed significantly. It went from expected arrival August 18, to September 5, now sometime between September and November? Lol

 

Bummer, any explanation? Chip issue?

 

Did you call the dealer? If I had a $200k car and the SA got fired, I'd be on the horn with the dealer ASAP to understand the new state of play...

 

Not yet. It's the weekend so didn't want to bother my SA about this until Monday lol. On the bright side, gives me a chance to save up an even bigger down payment for that splurge of a car 🤣.

 

The Lake Taupo is on the move and traveling at (+/-)15kn with an ETA of 16 July at 1500 or 9 days. Next stops are in question, maybe Jacksonville, FL then Freeport, TX?????
