Deposit placed late May, 2022 for a GTS. Changed to a T shortly after model was announced. Two price increases and a HEFTY new luxury car tax (in addition to the other taxes already in place) and still nothing. In retrospect I should have tried other dealers but hey, hindsight is 20/20. As of today I'm losing the desire to spend ever increasing dollars on a brand new 911.

My Targa GTS is on the RCC Amsterdam. It is not shown on the VW Export Schedule, but it is on the Glovis Sailing schedule 40/2023.

It's just off the coast of RI, Probably waiting for berth to open up since it's not scheduled until the 7th. Getting close, hopefully there are not any port delays.

Not at all. I also specd the car as high as possible but I really wasn’t expecting this big of a hit. Actually had an allo for the turbo phev but when I got my offer for trade I decided not again. The new cayennes have a lot of gremlins. Seems most are unhappy. I actually dislike the new fl but convo for another day

All of the German Luxury SUVs tend to depreciate very quickly, because most people don't want to own them outside of some sort of warranty coverage. 20% depreciation off MSRP year one and 10% year over year until the end of year 4 is pretty typical for these cars.

Yep.

At BMW it is 40% depreciation after five years. I have recently been informed such via a Client Advisor of four decades.

My car made it on the Lake Taupo and is headed for Davisville, RI! @tna3 did your car make it on? TYD has the ship arriving 10/20 but the Davisville berthing schedule has it arriving 10/17. I'm pumped!

Just as a datapoint, my GT3 arrived in RI on the 27th, left Davisville yesterday afternoon and arrived at the dealership this morning. So was 8 days at the inbound port.

TYD had shown 1 day at the port. The dealership's internal tracking system didn't show any kind of quality hold or reason for the delay. And the car is still fully covered with all the transportation protection stuff they put on, leading me to think no work was performed on the car at port.

That led me to believe Davisville is maybe a little backed up at the moment.

So... if your car spends a few days at port, don't stress over it being due to anything bad. It might not be delayed at all, but if it is, it's probably just the volume of cars they're dealing with these days.
