The below picture is the hub of a center lock wheel, and it seems those type of bolts place holders for lugs, and if you remove them you could fit a regular 5 lug wheel.

Am I mistaken? Could someone give help with this?

What is required to change?

Hmmmmm..... I never thought of this...

I don't think this is possible, but very interesting. Any reason you'd want to switch from CL to 5 lug?

I would wager predominantly for ease and less anxiety should something occur on the road.

I don't think the centerlock hub can be repurposed for 5-lug conversion, the plate that those alignment pins screw into are not designed to support the weight of the car on the wheels and the thickness is much smaller compared to the actual 5-lug hub. Also IIRC the screw diameter that hold the pins are quite small, much smaller than standard bolts for wheels.

On a centerlock, the main shaft in the middle is what holds the weight of the car on the wheel, hence the alignment pins can be much smaller. If you were to try to use bolts to attach the 5 lug wheels through that same center lock hub, you would be shifting all the weight into that thin plate on the centerlock hub.

There've been many before you who've contemplated this and I know someone with a 991 that did the conversion here on RL, but no one with a 992 that I can recall.

Short story: Can be done. A lot of work. Get the car with CL or 5 lugs in the first place.

Hey guys,

I got some wheels from someone and they were 21x9.5 et35
22x12.5 et 60

i have a 2024 carrera 4S.

They are poking out. Are the Carreras not as wide as turbo S?

@TAGMotorsports any ideas?

You need to lower the car. My offsets/widths are about the same; they are too aggressive for a standard/SPASM height car. The TT/S is wider, but your issue isn’t the width of your car.

Offsets are aggressive but once lowered should tuck nicely, might need to add a touch of camber to your preference.

Since people have been talking about similar wheels here is our newest wheel lineup; the ML series features our proprietary Mono-lock center hub assembly. Stand out from the crowd with this motorsport centerlock aesthetic!

So I think instead of lowering the car

I will just get a new set made.

I think I will stick with the rear specs of 22x12.5 ET 60 and go with a front size of 21x9 ET 45, which I think shouldn't poke out past the front fender.

Front is a bit on the conservative side with that fitment, if you want to order a set with perfect specs shoot us a DM or email vtforged@gmail.com. Monoblock sets in 20/21 start at $3300, 2-piece sets $4500+ range.
