Default Winter Set UO

It took over 6 weeks and finally Tire Rack came thru with a set of staggered OZ Leggera's in Gloss Black

with Pirelli M & S tires. They did great this past winter even though we had no snow!

Looks good! I just wish we had more options to buy like those. Its basically you get another set of OEM. Those OZ wheels OR you have to have some custom made for anywhere 3500-10K and wait 6-8 weeks. I feel like Im right back in centerlock world again even with 5 lugs now.

I have the OEM Spyder wheels but couldn’t resist picking these up when a killer local deal popped up. HRE P101SC in charcoal. Quick pic just as I was topping them off with a little air.

Yeah really, Centerlocks, a friend of mine has those on his GTS. Don't think I would ever want to go that route.

i can see that. there are relatively few wheel options with the proper fitting 20/21 setup. there are even fewer tire options. that's actually worse than centerlock world.

Champion Motorsport has partnered with Vossen to come up with designs specific to the 991 and 992, in 992 staggered fitments. Love these;

and this new design from Vossen;

Agreed!

And now all of a sudden, the marketplace is flooded with used centerlock wheel options! There was nothing centerlock in there in 2019.

nice - that vossen design looks like the new gts/turbo wheel. i've been in search of a jdm style wheel that will fit 992 -- advan gt premium or volk te37 in satin black, center lock (since i'm buying a gts). it'll probably never happen. which is just as well.

Oh cool! They look great! No, I just chatted with him about them. I was tempted, but I really want mesh style in black. So they where not a fit. But what a killer deal you got! SCORE!!!

Your point around finding wheels in this size that are immediately available totally resonates, I never thought I'd actually get aftermarket wheels since they were likely be prohibitively expensive. These popped up locally at a good price and were a design I was interested in, but I sort of wanted black too so I waffled for a looong time. Ultimately decided to pull the trigger and very happy with how the charcoal complements Chalk. I think black mesh-style would look awesome too! You might see some GTS black Spyder wheels float onto the market once those start being delivered, if you're patient enough to wait for that?

For those that don't want to spend quality forged wheel money the alternative option is the FF11 from HRE's affordable FlowForm series. The FF11's below come in at 20"x9" || 21"x11.5" sizing and start at under $3,000 for the set.
