As far as the exterior is concerned, I like the hips and think everything else will probably just grow on me. I think the interior shows the reality that these cars are going hybrid/electric. The 992 is really going to be the dividing line between the pre and post Tesla-fication of the 911. The 911 is a more modern car now, and dare I say the 991 becomes a bit more analog by comparison. It is the reality we live in, and Porsche is embracing it. Can't blame them tbh, as the environment we live in dictates these changes. There is no reason to think the 992 won't be brilliant, but it will be different. I will probably like it one day, but I also appreciate the raw, uncluttered feel of mine. Different isn't bad. Just different.

Those hips are a masterpiece and I actually like the rear lights. Oh well. More for me ???♂
I concur.

I think a C4S will make a great daily driver. For the past 20 years I have always ordered one of the new generations. Putting in my order this weekend.

This is normal around here that everyone will bash the car. A year from now everyone will sing its praises.

The exterior has grown on me after seeing the carfection video but I would probably get it in black to hide all the plastic bits. I still need to see the interior in person to judge.

I like the hips, not the rear lights. Interior is okay, a bit more modern, but the “shifter” is just no. What’s the point? The size makes it useless for shifting. Just go buttons, or voice command and use the paddles. Finding sport mode on the touch screen wearing racing gloves will be a trick. I guess that means the rotary switch on the steering wheel will be required.

I like the exterior. I’m sure I’ll like it more as time goes on. Need to see the interior in person. Not loving the PDK shifter. When is the manual version coming out?

I like this view, let me get some looser pants on first.
reminds me of chic on all fours ready to be rear ended...
it's ok, I wasn't born in USA I cannot run for POTUS, so I am highly politically incorrect.

I'm not finding the details on the weight gain vs. the 991.2, where was this listed?

It seems like much of the weight increase is from the new 8-spd PDK with room for hybrid hardware. If they continue with 6spd Manual option, the weight savings should grow considerably compared to today's 37 pound difference...

logotype/brand fest on the rear very unfortunate. i suppose they feel necessary now that so many styling elements are
shared across other models in such a literal fashion. not feeling the rear design at all especially the light bar.
overall good looking car though. does the 911 really need to keep getting bigger and bigger?

Exactly, I remember the manual transmission loss she the 991 was announced for the GT3 as well as the debate about the size of the 991 vs. 997. Now it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

The same will happen to the 992 as it rolls out, as we are sitting here I wonder how many dealers are getting calls today about placing a deposit for the 992 GT3?

That's harsh , I stated/ implying the new rear on the 911 now homogenized into the generic new Porsche look , yes hippy 4S look not necessarily bad , just not unique to the model being iconic 911 , to me to it's a dilution not the cream of the crop so to speak

Hell if I had the funds I order a new one every month in a different color / version
