Not sure about the new 8 series, but the S Class series is no margin vs the 911 products very profitable. Porsche can’t screw up a high margin car. MAC’s are eating into the Turbo S market with the 570’s simiular price points. The guy that can spend 150k can spend 200k, and I’m a Porsche guy hell 5 cars in 5 years. How, I know this several of my friends are GM’s in the northeast and they’re concerned if a down turn comes because they still have to buy their allotted cars. End of the day Porsche is just squeezing more margin by making all the 911’s with the same body style ....makes sense to me, but need to ensure the buyer is on the same page.

Thr real hurdle is what will the next GT3 look like, and low much??

Lol! . . . although not really seeing a negative in having a hot younger wife that could purchase all my toys while I goof off.

The real players, CEOs, aren't purchasing Porsches/911s. The big dogs are leasing RRs and Bentleys. Took a Wraith out this weekend. Amazing cars.

I do think 911 prices are outpacing their worth though, especially turbos. I use my turbos as DDs and put 20k miles a year on them, but there are many better alternatives for a true garage queen/fun car at that price point.

Totally agree - 500K for a GT3 RS where I live ($USD400k) - so I bought a McLaren (still own two P sports cars). To be fair it wasn't just the price but the joke of an engine they put in the 991.1 GT3 hard a significant part to play in my decision. Regrets - none.

Man buns. Now that's a "fad" that won't be looked at too favorably. Truly stooooopid ...

The 992 will be a well performance model. No doubt.

Porsche flys all these journalists around the world on their dime to write reviews. The journalists want to keep their access in the future and the free trips.

You don't think this influences their "reviews"??? DUH .... it's buying advertising for Porsche. Pretty transparent.

I am just disappointed in the aesthetics, design, and it getting further watered down and more $$. Worthy of the discussion here. I'm not a "hater". I'm the one who started the whole HUGE 992 SPY SHOT thread like 2 years ago. Far from a hater.

Overall, I think the 992 looks like a 911. The average US driver (aka non-car enthusiast) would say it looks just like any previous 911. Having just bought a 2018 991.2 Targa 4S, I don't have any issues with the 992 except for the razor looking shifter and the bacon strip third brake light on the back.

And I agree that all these glowing reviews have to be positive; otherwise, no invite for future Porsche reviews. This goes for any new car review, not just Porsche. As the saying goes, you don't want to slap the hand that feeds you.

What? No Gillette and toxic masculinity for you? When the boys who play with this doll grow up they'll consider the 992 a classic.

^^^ Funny. What's happening in our society??

Some real screwy logic and ideas these days.

Geez, this thread alone rubs people the wrong way. It's just a discussion. Was actually started as a joke from those who follow here. Was meant to keep all this stuff out of the 992 SPY SHOT thread which I started by the way!!

From a non performance view of this car, it's a mess in many ways design wise.

The car will deliver handling and 0-60. That's not a doubt.

I think many here like to dig in a bit deeper for a more critical look at it. I think many are more design orientated and appreciate good design.
