Default My 992 Turbo is stock (2023) No mods 8th 911

I ordered it as a 2022 but supply issues pushed it to a 2023, I find the 3.7L to be a great engine.at 572 Hp. I say it feels lightweight even with the two big Turbo's. It's my 8th 911.

It's all good before I found out that the current 3.7L will be gone away after the 2025 Model year. I ordered the same car as my 2023 (it's #9 911),

Porsche is going all woke in its best and most famous car.

VW controls Porsche. Porsche has a tracking stock that is worth more than VW, Lambo, and Bentley..VW management has determined that they will also destroy Porsche. Woke wins.

I missed any point contained in that 15 seconds it took me to read that.

You had too much to drink again?

BTW, it is the other way around: Porsche controls VW with 53% of the voting rights.

3.7L with 573HP to a 3.6L with ~600HP is going "woke"... There is no information pointing to the Turbo or Turbo S going hybrid in the 992.2. Some other down range model will get it first.

Regardless, not quite sure why plug-in hybrid is "going woke". Some of the highest performing super cars on the planet all use hybrid drivetrains... even going back to the McLaren P1 which was around long before you started using the word "woke" to describe things you don't like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There is a relatively high likelihood that the 992.2 turbo series will indeed by hybrid, there is a lot of info pointing in that direction. I personally came across a pair of 992.2 turbo-series mules being tested in the Austrian alps last summer. I had a good chat with the test drivers and they confirmed the cars were hybrid. They were not willing to share details re the configuration nor the power figures but they were very open about them being hybrid.

Pretty obvious that the new high end turbo/turbo S cars will be hybrid. They need to keep up with the 296 and Artura so won't be throwing batteries at the low end models and not at the premium models.

Why would you throw your future tech at the low end models and keep the top end with previous generation engineering? Seriously?

The GT cars might have a chance at remaining ICE for a year before the dreaded MHEV lands.

918 is a hybrid. I'm actually surprized it has taken them 10 years to get into 911's.

That's exciting! I hadn't read that anywhere, but certainly chatting with the test drivers is a pretty damn good source of intel!
