COLORS NOT AVAILABLE?

They are weird with colors sometimes. Aventurine Green was removed for a bit I think. Shark Blue you can't get it with the Sport Package... Maybe supply issues still?

you are not kidding. I got really lucky that when it was time to put in my allocation to the factory and all the things I wanted were available. I was a nervous wreck until the general manager of my dealership said it all went through. I was talking to him on the phone live when he put it in. I thought for sure they (the factory) were going to reject some of the things I wanted.
How does a luxury auto manufacture this far post Covid not have the materials they advertise? I just don’t understand.

I do not think PTS is totally cancelled for a Turbo S. I have a Turbo S allocation and I completed my build in early January. I very much wanted PTS, but I was told it was unavailable. However, just before completing the build and locking it, I was informed that the dealer DID have PTS Turbo S allocation, so I was allowed to do a PTS build. I picked Amethyst Metallic. My dealer confirmed that my order was accepted - so I assume I am getting a PTS car.

I was confirmed on 2/14 for PTS of a color they apparently have. The dealer said that several colors were coming from a company that was recently bought by a business in a country that they no longer buy from… Ruby star was another color from the same company..

I dont understand. So colors are bought from a specific company and those colors are allowed for PTS?

Sorry for the confusion. The dealer said that there are certain colors (PTS and non-PTS) from a single vendor that they no longer carry. I was told to select a PTS color and a backup non-PTS color that was not ruby and once submitted, Porsche would evaluate and accept or not.

Having done PTS I can tell you that it’s only available at certain times of the year. Your dealer first has to have an allocation that is within that month to even get a chance to get it. My last PTS car my dealer traded away a June allocation for a November allocation (a PTS month back then) so I could request and ultimately get a PTS car. I think the configuration tool is just there to show what is an approved PTS color versus the extra non approved colors (can’t recall what they call this but it essentially doubles the cost)
