Default 992 Turbo Allocation

Gentlemen I apologize for my ignorance but can you tell me why there are zero Turbo allocations available? S’s are of course out there but no Turbo. Why?

There are allocations for turbo but they are even more hard to come by compared to S for reasons pointed out in other posts

even better is to neuter the turbo engine, remove the active aero, put in a manual, eliminate the seat ventilation, remove the AWD, and sell it for $100k more as a Sport Classic

Dont tell the SC guys this they lose their minds LOL.

so true.

The SC, I can’t believe ppl paid a premium for that car. Detuned turbo and only make a few of them.

But... but... it's not a real sports car unless it has a manual, right?

GT2RS only comes in PDK. Manual can't handle the power...

Manual is fun for cruising around etc, but PDK shifts way faster, so if its a true sports car, it would be a PDK?

I can't even imagine trying to drive my car with manual, it would be suicide, the thing spins all 4 tires at 100+ kmh. Its a challenge just to keep it straight down the road lol

I ended up with an msrp turbo allocation 2024. Had a GTS targa allocation. Love my car. But regret not getting the GTS targa.

It was a 35k upgrade for an S, but I only had a Turbo option so that’s what I got.

An M engineering tune and some pipes will likely shave off the .1 second I hear.

M Eng tune and pipes will give ya a lot more than 0.1, You will be feeding stock turbo S all day.

Try to get an allocation for a Targa 4 vs a Targa 4S. In 2021 I read somewhere that Porsche sold in the states - 12 Targa 4 models and over 500 Targa 4S.

the real question is why offer a Turbo and Targa 4 at all? Same with the base Carrera coupe vs a Carrera S- easier to get an allocation for an S.

in all three cases the profit margin is obviously much larger on the upgraded models.

I purposely selected my Targa 4 as ai like the engine fell better- seems to not have the big lag to take a breathe on launch that the s engine requires to get the larger turbo blades to spin up.

there’s no way that’s a real number. I personally saw more than 4 base targa’s in my store alone during that model year

If you get the Pure Turbo upgrade, it should theoretically be exactly the same as a Turbo S with the Turbo upgrade.

If you end up doing that, please let us know the performance figures, because I'm really curious if the Turbo engine truly is just a Turbo S engine with smaller Turbos as some have said.

Turbo S = Turbo with more options and different turbos.

Add tune and exhaust...pulls noticeably harder than stock TTS
