So just like the title says. I took collection of my brand new 2024 TTS today and had a nice 9 hour drive on the first leg of my two day trip home. I noticed that in the city the engine was not shutting off at red lights and stop signs. I then then went into the menu to look for the start stop option. On my last TTS it was on this menu screen. But it’s not there now. Did they remove it from the 2024 turbos? You can clearly see it’s not there. At least not on my 2024. Thoughts?
Pending what driving mode you are in, That page changes.
it never did on my other one. And the engine never shuts off when stopping like my other one did. What’s up with that? Regardless of what setting or drive mode I was in the screen always had a place to check or uncheck that on my 2023 TTS.
You did not say what drive mode you were in. Perhaps if you are in sport+ or sport the option is no longer available? not sure why anyone in sport+ or sport would need start stop available anyway. Porsche maybe removed the option most will never use at least not in sport+ or sport. Is the button available in normal mode?

I apologize but in the picture you can clearly see it’s in normal mode. On my last TTS whenever you put it in Sport or sport+ it automatically removed the start stop annoyance. What I’m telling you guys now is that the option for start stop is not in any drive mode nor anywhere in the menu settings.
This is not a negative. S/S sucks. No one likes it and if my car was like this I wouldn't complain.
I completely agree with you however, it’s definitely strange. That’s why I’m trying to find out if anyone else here has the same situation. I had my dealership check several other 911 vehicles of theirs, including 2024 and they all have it in the menu settings. he tells me it’s just a fluke in my car. I don’t know. I don’t really care either. I’m just trying to find out.

His drive mode is normal, so for sure Auto stop/start should be listed. Is this a software update or one of those things in the last year of this Gen where Porsche amps their game, like putting the Exclusive tune in the 2019 991.2 TTS?

The only place where I'd be worried is: are there any other flukes, like negative flukes, that exist? Weird turbos? Using wrong spark plugs? Cracked belts? Sunroof doesn't close? PDK flukes?
Does the GT3RS have auto stop/start? Is it possible that the GT3RS software or setup there was used? Very confusing.

How is your car configured? Now I'm curious. Lightweight package with buckets?

everything operates perfectly. I had a little problem with the drivers door window getting stuck on the gloss black window trim a couple of times but I can’t get it to repeat that and the dealership told me they’ve seen this before another 991’s. Other than that everything operates perfectly.

it does not have a light weight package. I have the sunroof. Actually I haven’t tried to open that yet only the sunscreen. However, the PDI operated it.
I did check with my dealership on the GT3 and they went into one that was a 2024 and it had to start stop function. That’s the reason why I started this thread. It’s a mystery. My dealership just tells me it’s a fluke and I’m lucky. I bet you Porsche got rid of it. However, my salesman insists that would be illegal in Europe so it that can’t be the case. I don’t know. I’m hoping somebody else here with a 2024 TTS will chime in. I realize there’s only a handful that have hit the United States but I guarantee there are others here that have one.
I just took delivery of a 24 Turbo a week ago. It does NOT have start stop which is fantastic!! I absolutely hate that feature.
OK now we are getting somewhere. Thank you so much for this information. That means it’s not a fluke and everything is correct. Awesome. I hate that feature also. Freaking stupid.
