Question DIY oil change question

Has anyone done their own TT/S oil change?
Parts required, aside from the filter?
Any tips?

Thanks!

Oil, filter and crush washer, on my 991's I believe the 992 is the same, but I have not changed my 992 oil yet as it only has 700 miles on it

Thanks, I'm only at 3k miles but prefer to change to fresh oil and new filter before winter hibernation.
I changed my previous 991.1 and .2 Turbos and also GT3 Touring.

Hoping someone has done their 992 TT/S to confirm what is needed.

Update: Dealer confirmed what is required with Porsche P/N's along with the newly specified oil required by these cars

That’s it. It’s very easy— if you have a drain pan thst catches the oil that fits underneath the car you don’t even need a lift — just a basic set of mechanics tools.

takes 20 minutes tops

Where is the filter? Do you access from the top or underneath?

From the top. Remove the plastic engine cover and set the right cooling fan off to the side. Takes a 36mm socket.

Beautiful write up! I don’t have my car set so I apologize about this question but is there an oil dipstick or is it a digital read out? Can you reset the maintenance light yourself or does it need a scan tool?

Very easy. Here's a picture of the Oil Pan that shows where the Drain Plug is and also a picture of the replacement Drain Plug with "O" Ring I've been using.

What Harbor Freight sells as a "1.5 Ton Aluminum Rapid Pump Racing Floor Jack". Have had one for many years without issue. Wait for it to go on-sale and they can be had for ~$70.

Awesome write up! Thank you. What part of the car is the jack lifting from? Is that a center beam?
