Default '21 TTS Arrived - Exceeds All Expectations!

As many others have done, I want to thank forum members for all the terrific posts, photos, ideas and watchouts. All that input found its way into a variety of configurations prior to lock. Within a day or two, I’ll also post on the “Post Your New 992 TT/S Photos Here!” thread with thoughts that went into my choice of color and options for those who are going to the thread to test their ideas as I did.

In addition to photos of the new TTS, I’ve included a photos of our previously owned 2015 991.1 Turbo S and Steve C4S96’s beautiful 2012 997 TTS for comparison. Coming out of a 991.2 GT3, I was looking forward to seeing how much GT had been injected into the new TTS, and I'm not disappointecd. Even without Sport-PASM, the suspension is stiff in normal mode in a very good way on urban and suburban streets. In the fall, I’ll have a track day at Dominion Raceway here in VA preceded by Xtreme Xperience “rent-a-lap” sessions in a GT3 (almost certainly 991.2s). It will be interesting to compare the performance of the two cars on the same track.

The 992 TTS has exceeded my expectations. I don't have many miles on it yet, but I love what they’ve done with the exhaust note in Sport Exhaust. No surprise that performance is terrific. The 992 TTS looks more muscular and chiseled than previous generations with a noticeably shorter greenhouse than the 997 generation, perhaps to accommodate the larger rear wheel diameter. The GT3 was great as a daily driver and occasional canyon carver in CA, but here in Old Town Alexandria, the suspension and track-based gearing would not be suited for road trips and most errands, particularly with the fixed carbon buckets. This TTS is an all-around terrific sports car that will be great on road and track.

Stand by for my post on the New Car Photos thread with my reasoning for making key option selections, which I hope will help others spec their cars as your comments helped me.

Beautiful car. So glad to hear that you have noticed a more GT-like experience in the 992 TTS. Makes me even more excited to get mine.

This is all your fault. I haven't been able to ride in a 992 Turbo S until I met you a month ago (and you in mine). Now... I kind of have to have one too, I think.

Congrats, great pics and GT Silver is a nice choice. I'm still set on a GT Silver/Black interior myself. Here's my latest configuration after redoing this build 50 (probably 150) times.

Thanks fir the pics. Great side by side comparison of the 997 to 992. I love every iteration of the 911, they have all been beautiful in their own way, however the 992 really is so nice. She has a nice ***!

Beautiful spec, can't wait to hear more. I'm in the process of selling my 18' GT3 manual and have been considering a 992 TTS just got an allocation and now going over my order spec. I know I'm gonna miss that GT3!

This thread has gone on long enough. Isn’t it time for someone to chime in with “it’s not that fast” or “what a disappointment” or “my mustang is faster”???

kidding, amazing amazing car and I’ve loved every minute since I got mine in December. Glad this sentiment has taken over the forum!

Congrats on the upgrade. The specs are conservative but nothing wrong with that thought.
