Default Hard wire battery Tender?

Looking at the negative post, which is located away from the battery, it looks like it can be unscrewed. Can I unscrew that post and hard wire the connection to my Battery Tender there, which I will feed thru the plastic cover?

Yes, that will work just fine.

You can unscrew it, but you cannot pull it out to insert an eyelet prior to screwing it back.

would it be possible to add a picture/pictures showing how and where the tender connects, including any connector that is used?
many thanks.

I wish it was as easy as my current 2012 Turbo S where it simply plugs into the cigarette lighter...and comes right from Porsche. I'm sorry they changed this, it's so easy for me. I would never be able to do what's listed above since I haven't he slightest idea how to do anything mechanical with a car, I just drive them and clean them, so I guess I'll just have to drive the heck out of it regularly to keep it charged up, when and if I ever get my car.

Very nice, that's the way to do it.

When not in use, the sealed plug remains beside the windshield washer reservoir cap.

You don't need all that extra routing and wiring ...Just tuck that lead provided between the two wiper blades and when needed simply reach under the hood in that area and pull it up and connect and when done just tuck it underneath there again , You don't even need to open the hood. The lead will still fit thru the battery cover nicely when secured and thus hold it in place. ...Way more convenient than the Cig lighter method type chargers ....

Huh - I just assumed the cig lighter Charge-O-Mat works and I'm using it. There's a flashing light but the full battery indicator is lit solid green after a time. Does anybody know if the Charge-O-Mat doesn't work at all? If it's prohibited?

This is basically what I do. However, I push the cord back into the battery compartment lead on my 996 GT3. On my 87 911 the lead just stays in the carpet area.

How did you guys manage to permanently attach the eyelets then? I'm tired of my 12v port turning off and want to hardwire my tender.
