Things have changed. Normal Porsche cycles aren’t occurring - see the Macan, Panamera, etc.

The 992 will continue for a while longer.

See this is where I'm confused about statements people make as facts. The 997 rand for 8 years. The 991 ran for 8 years. if the 992 runs for 8 years then the 2027 would be the last year. I don't see a change unless this generation is the change, but what facts point to that change. Macans and panameras m are a different species. I'm not saying they won't delay the current generation change, but where are the facts that this will happen.

PAG are in mess. For a while they have no clue: EV to Gas, Gas to EV, Gas/EV to Hybrid and repeat. Plus pricing structure out of the world..
I hope they have figured it out (by now).
Due to their mess 992 gen might be longer, maybe up to 2029/2030. I am thinking new gen 911s coming in 2030 with launch in 2029.. Interesting times

If Porsche is smart, they'll be pricing the 992.2 3RS pretty high. Given the performance level, it will be a real rival to exotics and the deep-pockets crowd will gobble it up.

No facts, but some indicators: 2027 would be the earliest possible model year for the GT3 RS and the GT2 RS, unlikely they will be single year models.

No 994 mules have yet been spotted - not a single one. We are 16 months away from MY 2028 production, and there is radio silence. It’s opinion, but given where PAG is, a 992.3 is the logical outcome.

Fully agree with this price point part. I always thought the 992.1 3RS was to cheap here in the UK at 223k for a full Spec WP car when launch. The only comparison was the Senna and these were close to 1 Mill with options, the 3RS has way better Aero design and performance. It could have easily stood another 100k price increase.

Hmm.. I might prefer a .2 GT3 WP NA over the .2 3RS in this case.

I had my 992.1 C2 Coupe in Feb 19, the 992.2 GTS came out Summer 24 .My 1st 992.2 was del Nov 24, i think you will find that there are at least 6 more models that are due to come out in the 992.2 i dont see the 992.2 ending before 29MY. at the soonest.

Didn't the G-series kind of run (with very small changes) for about 15 years from 1974 til 1989...? The 992 still has some years left before it beats that. It will definitely be the most produced though.

Thanks for making my point. Was born well after 1980, don't have a hard copy of C&D. But I'll keep getting my data straight from the source instead of trying to help others sort through the misinformation on here.
