Then why does Canada get cars months before the US lol

Again: I have no idea about the US market but look at the discussions when the first .2 cayennes and 992.2 shipped to US customers. They shipped from Germany at the same time as European cars.
People that know more can explain. As mentioned above maybe US needs different certifications than Canada. Maybe it is something else.
And maybe you are right that for some models there might be a different production date for the US markets. But for most major models the first production month seems to be the same.
A US dealer here can inform us when the first GT3 allocations - i.e production month - is for the US market.

thank you silversufer6 ! pls keep it coming. u r the first who shares hard infos.
btw:
back in Dec.2022 at the 992.1 GT3 RS - there where around 4 month delay from the first EU deliveries to the first US deliveries. but with all the recalls (rear wing etc) it´s better and cheaper to have us EU guys as beta test users.
looking forward to Feb.2025 - doing a yoga session to vacuum all the bread crumbs from my kids in the gaps of the 992.2 GT3 Touring rear seats

This is a very minor subject and not worth looking much info and I think it really starts from US dealers saying that we get cars later. Yes you do get them later for various reasons but most of the time the 1st production month (i.e allocation) is the same as the official one.

Not sure how Euro stores have allocations to a car that doesn't exist yet. We know it's coming but it hasn't even been revealed so how are people placing orders with no configurator or options list? My guess is no orders have officially been made and these are place holder allocations for now

How is that silversurfer if official start of sale is 18th?
I m looking into the touring. 2 and have had some insights as I met with the sa and ordering specialist. you have obviously also some insight in one or the other way.
There is no specs released beyond basic info (as power, wp option, and some minor other details and no configuration possibility (forget the online configuratior).
As I was assured and even saw it. Start of sale is the 18th.
I have some network and got similar info from a non EU/non US market.
On the other side I was also looking into the lightweight touring setup of the standard/basic .2 rwd turbo as an alternative to the .2 gt3t which shall also be a hybrid only as the new 3.6 twin e turbo powertrain achitecture demands that setup only. Also no real manual on these turbos.
Only option could be a manualized PDK in a sense of a Koenigseggggg but that is far fetched imho.

That gave me a headache
US dealers do not get allocations until a car is actually released. So likely after 10/18

i sure hope they do something to distinguish the touring and the gt3. drives me crazy how having a smaller spoiler makes people think its a totally different car. need at least make softer suspension, rear seat, sunroof, etc to differentiate it.

I don’t know how the process is done globally and I guess it differs. Surely when there is another porsche company in the middle eg PCNA
But (some) dealers have already gotten their allocations eg Dealer X will be getting for example 7 winged cars and 6 touring cars in Jan, x and x in Feb, x and x in March. Dealers usually ask for more and they get less - at least for this car. Is there any other way to start manufacturing a mass market complicated machine on a global base?
At the end of the day PAG is exchanging info with the dealers in order to sync production (supply) with demand. And simply this process does not start on the 18th.
If you want to take it a step further there is also an internal configurator where dealers configure internally the cars. This also does not “activate” on the launch date.
This is of course how I imagine that it works
