I bet good money that Porsche will charge extra to give you seats that are free of charge in other models.

So first 992.2 GT3/Touring deliveries will be Fall 2025 in the US meaning the cars will be a MY26?

I just hope they don't charge me to delete those rear seats.

No. Winter 2025, February 2025.

I dont see any reason for the US to get cars later than Europe and this has not happened with any of the cars released lately.

Of course there might be a delay at the US ports like it is happening now with the 992 base now but cars left the factory same time as European cars - and probably other continents.

Interesting, that's faster than I thought given that they are still finishing up building the last .1 GT3s.

Car is announced on the 18th.

First production month is January 2025 so first customers in Germany and neigbouring countries might even get the car in January. Rest first customers February.

Excited to know the specs and colors that will be available that are not PTS.

Huh? The US ALWAYS gets Porsche cars later than Europe, and Canada, and 75% of the world.

I'll make a friendly wager there won't be 992.2 GT3 deliveries in the US in Feb

This has not happened with the 992.2 base. First official production month was July 2024. Some US cars were built in the month. See the link below. Of course a month is needed for shipping and then any port delay.

Of course you are right that some models got a later prosuction month for the US. e.g Cayenne Hybrid. It seems though it is the US hybrid part approval that caused the delay.

More in this discussion for the 992.2 base:

In any case you might be right, I know nothing about the US market but the 992.2 base first peoduction date was not delayed for the US so there is no reason for the gt3 to be delayed. We will now in a couple of weeks for the US.

US will not get 992.2 base cars the same time as Europe. We are always 2-6 months behind pending which model

2 months is the shipping and port time and I agree. But based on info here the 2 months are sometimes one month - some countries in Europe also might get cars month or even more after production. This is just logistics.

But first production month is the same.

I think it is important to distinguish between first production month (which is the first allocation month) and delivery date.

Deliver date varies between countries based on location and hence shipping time, import documents and various other logistic reasons.

Wouldn’t it be funny if it charges you when you don’t want them, and then charges you if you do want them. Like whack-a-mole 😂

Exactly.

Production dates for each countries are determined by PAG.

Actual delivery (or import) dates varies by region, and countries. Some of the variables include shipping lines, port availability, and at least in the U.S. EPA and CARB certification. See Porsche Cayenne and 992.2 C2

Carrera S first production month is February 2025. So let’s celebrate the first GT3 launching before the Carrera S and let’s stop doubting change

Carrera 4S goes to late 2025 - not sure why.

Turbo S - June 2025.

Turbo RWD hopefully in Sept or Dec 2025 but I am speculating on these dates, no confirmed info.

Dates as of now of course.

GT2RS is still coming - but I will reconfirm
What I’m most curious about is whether the gt3 will get the shorter ST gearing!
