Complete noob question: So is it a good thing? Can someone explain to me what you like about it more? TIA

It knocks the edge off the slow speed bumpy roads. It has much improved damping in all street conditions without sacrificing the scalpel like precision feeling that we all love about it.

Edit: this does not make it soft. Just drastically improved damping.

Anyone in SoCal interested in doing upgrades - I'm in town at my shop in El Cajon (San Diego) until next Thursday, so more than happy to let you use my PIWIS and power supplies if you get some time with Mars. I'm going to leave a PIWIS system here full time, so going forward, one of the techs in my shop (Circle Air Group) will be able to assist anytime . . . probably have to charge a small fee for their time, but when I'm here I'll do it for free. . . I'm pretty flexible, so if you get some time with Mars, I'll find someone to give you access to PIWIS and a power supply to get 'er dun.

it’s just dialed in perfectly. Not sure if you ski or not but probably the best analogy is that it used to feel like using hardpack skis on soft snow when driving on the street — you lacked sufficient speed to bend those stiff skis. Under the former setup it was difficult to get enough speed for the damping to really kick in while driving at legal speeds.

Now the damping is present the moment you pull away from a stop.

The ride is still very firm. It also supple. It’s perfect.

I really dig this thread. It's a modern day version of "hotroding" ! Congrats to the innovators here!! True car enthusiasts! And what a relief from the talks of ADM, PTS, allocations etc.

Any advantage to the Clore pl6800 vs the pl6100? The only difference I see is that the 6800 can charge at 100amps but I can't use this to charge a lithium battery so I would only use it in power supply mode.

Love this thread!

I see lots of momentum in US, would like to see if we can create a group in Germany as well. Any takers?

The PL6100 will work perfectly fine and is a little less expensive.

First GT3 Touring with S/T suspension coding done in LA. Thanks to rnlst_log. Get your appointment slot from him. I rode in the car with the owner and he was impressed

Default Happy as a clam

I just had this done in SoCal on my ‘22 Touring, and I agree with the other posts. This is transformative and makes the car much more compliant and less fussy on bumps (especially at low speeds). It just feels like there’s an extra layer of dampening that takes the edge off. I’m very happy. Thank you @rnlst_log and @718socal for making this happen!! 🙏
