I have to say this is one of the best efforts I've made with the 992 GT3 - right up there with the Resonix sound deadening! Add this to @dixonk 's memory seat hack. All the credit goes to @rnlst_log who spent countless hours figuring out how to adapt the S/T software spec to the "older" 992 GT3. As we thought, all hardware is essentially the same - however, there is newer firmware and other non-obvious tweaks that were required in order to get the S/T programming to load without faults, and handshake with the other related systems (PDK, RAS, Power steering, etc).

Last night we figured out how to get everything to load without faults, and I went for about a 20 min drive. My first impressions were that the car is SO much "smoother" . .. probably placebo effect, but everything felt less jarring. On smooth roads, really not much obvious difference, but over bumps or rougher roads, it definitely feels more compliant. I drove this morning for about an hour - WOW - what a difference. I intentionally drove on a road that has ruts, some uneven pavement, but yet some high-speed sections. Previously I had driven this an remarked that I thought the compression / rebound needed to be softer of the shocks - IE it felt too jarring . . you would hit a bump, and steering would jitter and resonate through the chassis. This morning, DRAMATIC difference. It seems much more planted - ie the resonance when hitting a bump was perceptibly reduced.

Take this review with a huge grain of salt - I'm a pilot / mechanic / engineer - not an experienced driver, so much of my impression could be placebo knowing that we added some new, cool software. However, it absolutely feels quite different to me after a few drives, and there seems to be zero downsides. Its a fairly involved software re-flash, so I would expect that the labor to do this won't be cheap - but honestly this seems like one of the BEST mods to do to a GT3 without changing any hardware, and is fully reversible should you not like it. I love the Matrix lights, but don't drive much at night in the GT3 - I drive everyday on ****ty roads, so this mod in my book is ESSENTIAL!

I'll leave it to @rnlst_log to figure out how he is going to offer this service - I spoke to him about offering a C&C at my shop in El Cajon (San Diego) sometime in the near future for those who don't have PIWIS nor the proper power supply - we could also do one in the Jackson, Wyoming area where my other shop is located. We could schedule a meet up, and then do a group programming w/ @rnlst_log logging in. This mod is too complicated for me to do myself - and watching him wiz through PIWIS is a thing of beauty. There are SO many levels to that software that are a total mystery to me - but clearly not to Mars!!
