S/T Suspension Programming - GT3 update??

As part of my S/T clone project, I've been looking at the differences in suspension between the S/T and the standard GT3. From all reports, the S/T dampening is vastly superior to the 992 GT3. I've done a bit of research, and the part numbers for the S/T chassis ECU as well as the shock absorbers are identical to the GT3, and thus the difference must be only programming.
To really figure that out, I'm wondering if there is an S/T owner that would let one of us with PIWIS run a VAL - this simply reads the configuration of all the ECUs - doesn't write or change anything. If we had a VAL, we could probably figure out how to program the standard GT3s with the S/T dampening. I'm more than willing to travel a few hours to pull the S/T VAL - either in SoCal or in the Jackson Hole Wyoming area / Salt Lake City. Hopefully we can find a cooperative lucky S/T owner that will help us crack this nut so we can all benefit . . .
Please DM me if you know anyone with an S/T that would be willing to let us do a read. . .
thanks!!

I have to say this is one of the best efforts I've made with the 992 GT3 - right up there with the Resonix sound deadening! Add this to @dixonk 's memory seat hack. All the credit goes to @rnlst_log who spent countless hours figuring out how to adapt the S/T software spec to the "older" 992 GT3. As we thought, all hardware is essentially the same - however, there is newer firmware and other non-obvious tweaks that were required in order to get the S/T programming to load without faults, and handshake with the other related systems (PDK, RAS, Power steering, etc).
Last night we figured out how to get everything to load without faults, and I went for about a 20 min drive. My first impressions were that the car is SO much "smoother" . .. probably placebo effect, but everything felt less jarring. On smooth roads, really not much obvious difference, but over bumps or rougher roads, it definitely feels more compliant. I drove this morning for about an hour - WOW - what a difference. I intentionally drove on a road that has ruts, some uneven pavement, but yet some high-speed sections. Previously I had driven this an remarked that I thought the compression / rebound needed to be softer of the shocks - IE it felt too jarring . . you would hit a bump, and steering would jitter and resonate through the chassis. This morning, DRAMATIC difference. It seems much more planted - ie the resonance when hitting a bump was perceptibly reduced.
Take this review with a huge grain of salt - I'm a pilot / mechanic / engineer - not an experienced driver, so much of my impression could be placebo knowing that we added some new, cool software. However, it absolutely feels quite different to me after a few drives, and there seems to be zero downsides. Its a fairly involved software re-flash, so I would expect that the labor to do this won't be cheap - but honestly this seems like one of the BEST mods to do to a GT3 without changing any hardware, and is fully reversible should you not like it. I love the Matrix lights, but don't drive much at night in the GT3 - I drive everyday on ****ty roads, so this mod in my book is ESSENTIAL!
I'll leave it to @rnlst_log to figure out how he is going to offer this service - I spoke to him about offering a C&C at my shop in El Cajon (San Diego) sometime in the near future for those who don't have PIWIS nor the proper power supply - we could also do one in the Jackson, Wyoming area where my other shop is located. We could schedule a meet up, and then do a group programming w/ @rnlst_log logging in. This mod is too complicated for me to do myself - and watching him wiz through PIWIS is a thing of beauty. There are SO many levels to that software that are a total mystery to me - but clearly not to Mars!!

I think you may need to use a newer version of PIWIS. I found 4 different suspension settings. When I clicked the comfort chassis option the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and returned a lot of errors. Might even need to change vehicle to ST in maintenance of information, code, then return back to GT3.

A worthwhile endeavor. Having put in a lot of miles on both it’s truly shocking how much better the road manners are with the S/T. However, it’s not just the flywheel and suspension changes that make the S/T so good. The entire package of changes was obviously massaged and fine turned for quite awhile to make it feel so dang good. It’s not just a parts special car like some here seem to rant on about constantly.

If it's mostly a software tune, I'm sure someone smart can crack the code. The question is will Porsche take those suspension software tweaks and put them into the .2 Touring.

I’m sure a lot of .1 owners like myself would pay for such a upgrade

I hope it is due to the lack of available cars produced. Hopefully someone can figure it out quickly. I wish the GT4 RS got the Spyder RS treatment too.

Also (while not fact) I bet the bushing set is different as well. When MFG. changes something suspension wise on models (even if the part numbers are the same) , there are still many other factors that could change. The suspension system is made up of the tires, bushing set, sway bars, shocks, bump stops, and for PASM the software. Track width can play a role too

For sure LOTs of interest in this project and with @rnlst_log and @718socal on the clock, chances are very good we will figure it out.
