Default Milage/Price on GT Cars

Watching BAT there are some number of very low Milage GT/Special cars(50-500 miles) and the watchers/ bidders many of which criticize the owners of these low milage cars for not driving them. My question is does the milage really matter up to say 2000 miles on these cars assuming they are comparable condition, options, color, service record etc.. I would assume in most cases the low milage car would be priced a little higher but how much more would you pay for 500 vs 2000mile difference.

Remember this is Rennlist.

Everyone will say "drive drive drive" these GT cars! They're meant to be driven.

Then when it comes to buy, everyone will literally walk away from a GT car that's been driven.

Rennlist. There is no substitute.

Default GT cars

People are always going to complain on BAT.

These are mostly people that want to see both low and high mileage GT cars drop dramatically in price so they can afford them.

That's not happening (at least not yet) .... so they lob in dumb comments like that in hopes of further devaluing them.

It isn't working. And never will. But that doesn't stop these idiots from posting.

There's like the same 10 guys commenting on GT3 BAT auctions. Half of them own the model being auctioned and try to build up the value talking about rarity or being priced out forever, the other half say these cars are as common as Camrys and will be at MSRP next month... LOL it's all very dumb, so don't put any value in the comments, just look at the results

I think there's a huge premium for cars <1000 miles, because they are essentially new cars and some buyers want as close to new if they are already paying a premium.

BAT results does not indicate actual market pricing. 1 auction, 3 buyers with too much money can give false sense of pricing just as much as another auction with an excellent car but not the right buyers checking BAT that week. Its a tool to use and has a lot of pros and cons.

We have seen some silly pricing in both directions that made no sense.

Also I’m sure everyone is talking about how a PTS CXX 6MT 500 mile car barely got $50k over vs some other auction a week ago of a chalk car that went over twice that amount. No rhyme or reason. I honestly this meissen blue is a much nicer car and I was extremely surprised by what someone paid for a chalk car vs this car.

Then there were plenty of 991 cars that went for silly prices. They are so not worth the premium.

But its Merica here, we just love SPENDING SPENDING SPENDING. You only live once right? Whats another $50,000, probably people make that coin in a day thanks to this other silly thing called nasdaq.

That's why you don't look at just one result.

That’s easy… the premium for PTS and CXX is built into the MSRP for cars with those options. Personally I would pay a less than list price on those options based on their high costs vs. perceived value, so there must be other buyers out there in same boat.

2k miles and 10k are benchmarks to watch if resale is your deal. My 22 MSRP TTS with a 268k sticker was traded at 9902 miles. It stayed parked for essentially 2 months had I rolled over 10k I would've taken another 10% hit. Still got 230k on the trade.

My 23 GT4RS with 2400 miles was traded in at MSRP(193k) and they listed and sold for 240k with 18ways(which is most desirable, sorry not my opinion just facts from multiple dealers on resale).

The point is theres no finite rule on thks and just like RL, BAT isnt really the grail for data points.

They gave me Phenomenal trade on my TTS and the combined ADM between the TTS and 4RS was 50k collectively. Plus my PTS 3RS was sticker. Hard to argue sticker for sticker and especially since I'm not trying to bite the hand that feeds in addition to these guys aren't just a dealer to me.

my point was that they gave you nearly $50k less than what they sold the GT4RS... that is not a normal spread for a 4RS with buckets... but I guess go on believing the DEALERS
