Less then 3 hours later I can tell there are quite a few people left disappointed now.
It's not a nice feeling to have. Let's try to shake it off with a free shipping code (applicable to pre-ordered units that ship in 2-3 weeks) THISWENTNUTS.
You can use the following link to place order with this code:
Got a nice surprise today. My NutCracker showed up and coincidentally I was doing the plug change on the car as well as adding some Resonix fibermat behind the wheel liner of the Touring.
The tool is very robust and heavy duty. It appears to be quality made and has the feeling of a tool that will outlast me. I was able to pull my wheels with ease using only a standard 1/2” torque wrench. I now don’t find the wheels any more difficult to remove than 5 lugs.
The price is really good value for what you are getting. It comes in a very nice carrying case with a custom foam insert. It is a bit heavy but not unwieldy or difficult to use.
Gabriel has been fantastic to chat back and forth with and I highly recommend the Nut Cracker tool as what is probably by far the most cost effective solution to center lock removal.
I wondered about warranty too. The website notes a return policy only if recall correctly.
Good point! In Europe everything (perhaps with the exception of consumables) sold to end consumers is covered by a 2 year warranty. Just like dixonk has pointed out in his review, we expect NutCracker to outlive us all, so given these two factors, we haven't thought about stating the warranty explicitly, but we definitely should.
I tried to google standard warranty in the US and i come accross anything from 1 to 5 years. Help me out here - is there any other tooling you've come accross covered by the 5 year warranty?

The most generous return policy I have encountered is at Costco - without a time limit. 😉 There is not much abuse of the policy though. Perhaps a limited lifetime warranty similar to Craftsman is reasonable.
My Lexivon torque wrenches are covered for 12 months when used in commercial environments (small business, offices, etc.)
That is their Standard Warranty. An extended warranty can be purchased for beyond 12-months.
I like to use Stahlwille torque wrenches - they are expensive, but would have an important advantage for this particular use (you can use them for loosening, without putting any stress on the torque mechanism). So, no need to have both a breaker bar and torque wrench when using this Nutcracker. Also cool that they have interchangeable heads (replace ratchet with box wrench attachment for torquing engine oil drain plug on back of engine, etc.)
I would like to thank everyone for your inputs! Seems that for torque wrenches the standard is one year warranty (even Craftsman sets them apart in special category). We will be honoring the two year warranty normally valid within EU. We will update our store accordingly.

They also have some that are less money, but this one above is one of my favorite styles.
There is a discount code at top of the page and they come out with more all the time (level of discount fluctuates through the year)...
Note: I don't mean to imply that someone needs such a fancy torque wrench to use the NutCracker - it is not necessary, just nice to have
Just a heads up for anyone shopping for this tool. There is actually a Porsche/VAG part number for this and it comes with the 1/2” head on it. I got it for $440 shipped at my local dealer:

There is also a snapon.porsche.com for all the dealer tools and they sell this wrench there as well.
Is this version the one that has a permanent 1/2” ratchet attached? These are less expensive and don’t allow for multiple attachments or the precise adjustment of the 730N. But could be a good choice also if that’s not important.
Thank you for your post about the options. Gabriel‘s suggestions were significantly less expensive (two wrenches) then either Stahville or the Porsche branded wrench. Do you know if any difference when it comes to reliability, accuracy or durability? Thank you.
