Right - but 5W-40 was previously approved for C40 applications… then the 5-weight suddenly fell off the approval list from Porsche. Wondering if Mobil paid Porsche for that too… buying oil from the dealer is a total f*ckjob.

Hmm, the German document seems to have slightly different specifications and includes a list of cars as well.

That's hilarious. I remember specs for the same-marked oil from different years were slightly different but here it is all the same year with different datasheets. I think the only reasonable option here is to stop worrying and just do exactly what the manual says.

Porsche internal bulletin does not include any 991 models. Only applies to GT cars after MY21.

As far as 991 it *does* apply to Speedster 991.2 which has the identical engine to the 992 GT engine — says it right on the bottle too.

991.3 GT3 RS does also (Non-US only)

Didn’t know that. That car doesn’t have the most recent engine. You sure?

Shares a motor with the 991 Speedster (might be tuned for 10hp more or something, 520PS like the 991.2 RS but newer motor with ITB's and OPF housings). Just the end of RoW-spec 991 GT3 RS production - last revision.

I do not believe 991.2 GT3 RS has the 6 individual throttle bodies and updated Speedster engine. Please provide your source — I’m pretty sure Speedster was the only 991 that got the updated engine, as it happened at the very end of 991.

I originally misidentified the .3 as US-Spec, but it was only RoW (Rest of World)...

That's why I said 991.3 RS. It was known that way as the very last revision after the 991.2 (sold in RoW only). 991.3 does have ITB's and OPF's and 520PS.

Here's one thread, but there are many others if you search "991.3" on 991 GT3 Board here:

I can tell you one thing- I never knew or even heard of the term 991.3 — I assumed you mistyped.
