Not too sure about that, I would have thought the manual would be the same since everyone uses the same app but maybe there's a difference by region. I was trying to look up something unrelated and under the manual section it asked me to tap to update so I did. That's when I noticed the oil section was updated.
I think it's actually harder here to get. The funny thing is I just bought a box of C40 oil last week so I could do an oil change after my first track day. I called around and asked so many shops and no one had the C40 spec. I called the Porsche service centre and they wouldn't sell me any because they only have it in giant drums. Eventually I found a workshop willing to import it from the EU and I paid an arm and leg for it.
I never did an oil change after breaking in the engine and since I'm at 4,000km and just had a track day I figured it would be good to do. But from here on out I'll probably just follow Porsche's service interval since they cover everything for 5 years.

I just got the new manual (Canada) and it explicitly states that the C40 (non-GT) oil formulation will be changed on Feb 1, 2024, so C40 purchased after Feb 1 is not good for GT cars. C40 purchased before Feb 1, 2024 is ok to use in GT cars. It specifically says that in a non-ambiguous way.

When someone has obtained the actual Porsche Parts part nunber for this new C40 GT oil, could you please post it here?
This would facility our ability to obtain the oil through 3rd-party suppliers who have relationships with Porsche dealers. Nobody seems to know the part number right now.

I just deleted Version 1.1.2 of the owner's manual in the My Porsche app and then downloaded 2.0.2. This version calls for the C40 GT spec oil.
Oddly enough, I tried deleting the manual in the My Porsche app on my other phone, and it just then downloaded the same 1.1.2 version.

So the real question is how to evaluate new old stock — the Mobil1 C40 that was approved and is still sitting on shelves. The bulletin gives a date of purchase, but it should really be a date of manufacture.
Case in point, I just bought a quart of C40 from the local dealer. Looks the same as it always has. Is it okay to use?
