They're all sort of an eye sore, and they all sort of look the same.

I couldn't disagree more. It is styled after the Super Trofeo so it is aggressive. If you like softer lines then I can see why you might say that but personally I think it suits the ethos of that model. The only issue I have is that Lamborghini mass produced them like they do with everything else.

People tend to ignore non-GT cars around here, but I agree, having owned a GT3 and then a GTS 4.0, I think the GTS trim (both 911 and 718) is actually quicker and more enjoyable for canyon carving with it's more road compliant SPASM suspension

Hi All,
I have intentionally posted in this forum as I see the GT3 and 3RS as the measuring stick and value the opinion of forum members.
I found today's launch of the Revuelto very interesting. Its gorgeous and looks so much better than the SF90... And a 9500 redline in a powerhouse V12!My experience outside of Porsche in the last 10 years is fairly limited. Aside from Porsche I've had the pleasure of owning a tuned F90 M5 and a stock 675LT Spider. Both truly phenomenal for their own use case. But I haven't had any experience with the latest cars with huge HP numbers.
What I find interesting is both the SF90 and Revuelto have huge power, but weigh around 500kg more than a 675lt. That is a huge amount! Surely this additional weight must impact the driving experience. Those of you with a good amount of time behind the wheel of some of these huge HP modern cars, can you please share experiences vs say a 3RS or GT3 or 675.
I wonder if this added power and weight improve or detract from the driving experience versus lighter and less powerful cars.
Is 500hp the sweet spot for street driving making the GT3, ST, Speedster etc the King?
Is the 675 and 765 the best sweet spot of power and weight?
OR is the power to weight ratio of these powerhouse flagship hybrids the new king?
I realise the prices are drastically different, but more cost doesn't always mean better.
Thanks and those of you with experience in these various cars please share your experiences and opinions.

imo the 765 is ridiculous overkill for canyons. It is fantastic. Blistering fast, lots of drama. And Like almost 900# lighter than that Lambo. Lol. But I’m not good enough a driver to use it any better than a 675 which is also fantastic. Some folks do love their 765 for this. Did I mention, lots of drama ?
like taking a gt3rs on a canyon run instead of a gt3 or even a gt4. Like sure, it’s great, but it’s also kinda wasted on that drive. I just have no need for that car’s ability on a public road, and instead, it’s a bit more uncomfortable

If your a canyon driver and cruiser, cars like the new 296 I test drove or even a Turbo S won’t feel out of place. But if your a serious driver or trackrat the weight will definitely show.
GT3s aren’t the lightest cars out there, once you tried 1000lb 300hp caterhams or 2000lb 430hp lotus you really will understand why light cars are so addicting. But those cars generally are single purpose drivers cars, where these new supercars and GT3s serve more than one purpose.
For me, hybrid performance cars are still at its infancy and will get better, so the high hp doesn’t entice me at all especially with the weight. To me the pinnacle of performance cars are still the 3000lb 5-600+ hp cars where anything more heavy really hinders the driver’s experience when you push. The SF90 and Revulto are meant to be technological breakthroughs like the old 959 and not trying to be ultimate drivers car.
This is why I don’t have any hybrid performance cars on order and still own 600LT, 997.2 RS and GT4RS.

I think that it would be silly to view the Revuelto as a canyon carver. You are obviously going to better achieve that with a lighter car, like a 911 or a GT4 or something.
But lets not kid ourselves: the flagship Lamborghini is not about that. It's about drama.
Veering a bit off topic: I hear people talk about how fast McLarens are, and how fast the latest SF90 is, and to me--I"m more and more feeling like I don't think that Ferrari and McLaren are going in the same direction that I'm going.
If I could afford it, I'm all in on what Lamborghini is doing. Knowing that all-electric motors have won the acceleration game, what is the point of trying to build a hybrid that is more about speed than drama?
Drama is the ONE attribute, and a very important one, that EV motors will never be able to come close to usurping ICE in. Not even by a mile. And Lamborghini is doubling down on the drama with a NA V12 that revs to 9500 RPM, along with an electric motor to add some oomph. I LOVE what Lamborghini is doing here. Meanwhile, Ferrari and McLaren are downsizing to V6 turbo models that might be fast, but who are you kidding, here? Celebrate the ICE motor, don't downplay it!
