Schedule Delays and Finding Missing Prod’n Pics
@V999 Thanks for sharing your timeline. It is a lot like mine EXCEPT your delay of almost three weeks beyond mine, and production started on my car on July 20. Now I’m wondering if it could be an option that I ordered that now is being “consumed” by GT3 RSs, S/Ts or SCs. Could be PCCBs. On the schedule that had the current build finishing on July 28, my car was to have been on a vessel and gone one day after arrival at the Emden port, which sounded unreasonable to me, too. My Taycan GTS was at the port for over a month. I will ask my SA/SM to inquire about this and will post any feedback. Good to know that, with so many reported delays, it’s likely not an insurmountable problem that came up in final testing like: “a cylinder’s missing….there are only 5” or “where did this tiptronic transmission come from - should be a 6spd”. All the best with your order and I’ll post or PM with any important developments from my end.
Comment re: my “Yes. That Worked” message, above:
I posted that i was going to use a hack to find out if there were any additional photos besides the three that I have, but the laptop hack I posted was for identifying the ship that one’s car is on.. The following are posts regarding finding production photos for anyone interested. These are from this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/992-gt3-...-thread-8.html
Diablo Dude posted this on 2-16-2023 in response to another Rennlister not finding photos:
“Last month (after delivery) I reached out to a Porsche analyst in Atlanta who I had contact info for and he contacted someone over in Germany.
Within two weeks, I had received the other two photos shown below:
So dont fret if you don’t get the photos right away.
You can always ask them to dig them up.”
And SoulSea posted this video on 2-16-2023, but note the caution that the hack might not work now that pictures are readily available on TYD (but not all of them!):
“This is the workaround (on chrome browser):
[The YouTube video is at this link: [url]https://youtu.be/YGJoJ7DGzLU]
But if you're seeing the new layout the workaround won't work any more because the back end file system is now different, and it's also not needed any more because the pictures now show up automatically if they are available.”
