Good luck arguing that then spending money in hiring a lawyer to attempt to enforce it.

Depending on the dealer's state, the cost of enforcing the contract could be passed on to the dealer.

I wonder what makes him think he is not getting the car. As I understand his post, the car is still on the boat.

I would not involve an attorney if there was no consideration given on a contract. I like my attorneys, but not that much.
I think these issues are most easily solved with a phone call or visit to the manager.

You should have done a clown spec and then cancelled it after the build locked and leave them holding the bag.

To everyone with future builds. Does your tyd have dates or does every milestone just say to be determined or whatever.

My TYD had no t scheduled dates but my dealer provided me dates for all phases. When freeze date provided by the dealer was arriving I received an update on my app from Porsche indicating my freeze date had arrive. A couple of weeks later I received notice from Porsche that my build was soon to begin which was close to the information my dealer provided. According to my dealer information, my car should enter the body shop Friday October 11th, while my TYD doesn’t show a date. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Did your dealer provide you a build date and if so, how close was the date to the actual build date?

There was zero communication to me regard any state other than sending them the original order demand build. I found out about the car via notification in the app. For all I knew I was still waiting patiently for my order demand. They still have not gotten back to me.

Yeah they left you in the system as a demand order and the car is coming to the dealer for them to ask a market price for it.

Typical stealer move. Too bad this practice is not banned by PCNA.

If you are who I think you are (we met in Atlanta and dined together), you're a successful businessman. Visit the dealer and work it out. FWIW, when I order a car, I stay in contact with the dealer, especially the SA and GM. I leave nothing to chance.

2nd that, After all this bs with the local dealers, I switched sides to a 296 also, much easier to deal with.

I’m so sick of Porsche and their BS. Not that they give a rats *** but seriously want to go Jay Leno on the brand. It just such shady practice. SA responded with

Yes, it looks like that was your order demand. Apologies, I'll have my ordering specialist remove your name from the order.”

It’s like WTF.

Tell them you're willing to pay market for the car and their tone will change. Then you'll see exactly what they want for it and that you should go find another dealer because you will not get a car from them at MSRP.
