GT3RS Allocation Thread

I’m so sick of Porsche and their BS. Not that they give a rats *** but seriously want to go Jay Leno on the brand. It just such shady practice. SA responded with
”Yes, it looks like that was your order demand. Apologies, I'll have my ordering specialist remove your name from the order.”
It’s like WTF.

very sorry to hear michaeldorian. that's really bad business. for future, like the guidance from others...a written and signed, by both parties, buyers order/seller agreement that's tied to the build spec and a deposit on said agreement makes it a binding contract for that exact build. be sure get a receipt on the deposit also. some of the remaining rs allocations are trending lower on adm now than months ago which may be an option. good luck.

This is a nature of things when ADM is 'officially' allowed. I know ...America, freedom, money talks, market dictates, etc.... but ADM makes the business dirty tricky chaotic as all the above stories. In EU NO ADM allowed. Some of you say it is communism and the result of strong left parties especially in Germany.. But Ferrari still made a change on it worldwide and already getting huge number of customers from Porsche.
These relatively limited cars should go to customers on other way than who pays more. OK this is how capitalism works, but it makes the dealers more or less criminals that is already not capitalism.
----------
An outsider from EU who got a GT3 allocation MSRP-...% taking into account my buying and tracking history. (MSRP) RS allocation is next step that is ok with me.

F-ing dealer removed my name from the order after I contacted them about my order and now it doesn't even show up in my app. It's really shady stuff. I know it's just a car but it's such a bad experience. Literally taken from under me. How the heck Porsche lets this stuff happen to their brand. If one dealer would just be stand-up about stuff, I'm not a whale, but damn the loyalty would be paid back in return for lifetime of service and car purchases. Anyways, thanks everyone for chiming in on advice.

This issue has happened to me as well….over here in Palm Beach. I brought each car as the dealer said…in order to build our buying status. We were asked to go their grand opening and they asked us for a favor….if they could use our special car we customs made from Germany for display. So we agreed to display the car for their grand opening party…..the Ruf CTR3 Club Sport…..to keep very good relations with Porsche and our dealership. Then one day we requested if we could place a deposit and order the new GT2 RS. The General manager and assistants manager stated that all the allocations for them have gone to the VIP’s that bought the 918 cars first and that they would let us know if they get an allocation thereafter….that they would give it to us. So after purchasing each model car and more….we were disappointed that we couldn’t get one at this time….but ok….next time…maybe we will. So we let it go and waited….hoping they would get some more allocations. Fast forward…..4 months later….we receive an email from Porsche headquaters congratulating us on our new purchase of the GT2 RS. So….we called Porsche and they said that our car……placed in our name will be completed in a few months and delivered to our Palm Beach dealership. I received the spec’s from them. The same day……I went down to the dealerships and asked to speak with the GM in the office and when we sat across from each other…….he said what is going on and how can I help you today. I said calmly……can you please pull up my specs on my GT2 RS…I need to see if I need to change anything. So he looked into the computer ….like he was looking and then said to me….he didn’t see one in my name for me……I said please look again calmly and he did the same…and said there wasn’t any. I then pulled out the spec sheet Porsche emailed me with the finish date and said…please pull this one up under my name. His face turned red and I could see he was in a panic. So back into the computer he went. Then he turned to me and said that this car is for someone else. I said no…..it is in my name the purchase and I did request this car and you told me I was unable to get one…..then I come to find out from Porsche that you did indeed order one in my name…..so I will be taking delivery of this car and I like the way it is spec’ed ….so I don’t need to make any changes to it. He then turned more red in the face and had a long pause…..but this car is for someone else…..and I said …maybe it was….but why didn’t you order it in his name? He couldn’t explain this and said it must have been a mistake made by the other sales person. I said….well ….no problem…..I will be taking the car that is in my name and I have already spoken to Porsche about this. He then said ok…..no problem…..the car we will sell to you….but I am very upset with the person whom did this transaction. I already knew that they order cars there in other peoples names that regularly buy porsches……because it makes them look good. Only this time…..they got caught and called out on it…and had no choice but to sell me my car. I said….well…whomever else you intended this car for….I hope you have another allocation for them. He said he does. Funny…they had no allocations before when we asked but all of a sudden had an extra allocation to get the other person the same car. To say the least…….well were not happy about this but the best was to see their face and have them stress and scramble around. In conclusion……these Porsche dealerships do very crooked stuff and get away with it and calling Porsche headquarters……they said that they would do an internal review…..which we never heard anything further from Porsche thereafter. I also noticed that the dealership had us on the emailing list….and took our email out of the Porsche system to receive emails…….now no emails could be sent again to us….in case they did the same thing again. So we went to a different dealership and place our order request for the new 918 replacements and we are back on the emailing list….so anyone out there that feels like hey did everything Porsche wanted and then found out that they did you wrong behind your back……don’t get upset……Karma……..…….there will come a time when they will need you and now you can decline.

Write a very specific note describing every thing in detail with name and documents to the CEO of PCNA IN Atlanta. I have 2 success over the last 20 years. The big guys care and yes there are some real s—- dealers.
They just found more money than your deal.

unfortunately with time dignity erodes gradually and we all try to catch up and this will become a snow ball
example :
HVAC in your house breaks down on a hot summer weekend day
HVAC guy comes to your house
charge
150 for the call
extra 75 for the weekend call
125 dollars for capacitor . home depot price is 20 dollars but he carries it on my truck
I will say this is ok . Imposed dignity
but another guy comes in
you need new unit , I will have this unit running and will waive repair if you buy the new unit from me at a cost of 15 -20 k . No dignity
so if you have the second guy , you will feel ripped off
and more tempted to rip people off yourself in whatever line of business you are in
and so on

The shadiness from the dealer ordering a car for someone then pulling it after is terrible….
However on the ADM subject … while annoying I do agree that businesses should be able to charge whatever the market demands while doing it in a straight forward and transparent manner.

In general I totally agree, marked demand should drive the prices, free market is a key. I was living enough in times when prices were fixed by the government that resulted massive shortage economy and corruption for decades. No way.
On the other hand these GT Porsche cars are not produced according to the market demand, numbers are limited by the manufacturer with whatever reason. So the market is deformed at this point already.
Other question is who sets up the prices. The manufacturer or the dealer network (who represents the manufacturer -in theory-). In the US dealer network, in EU the manufacturer. Both of them are able to follow the market.
As an example would not say Tesla is not capitalist, still working without ADM, especially with centrally fixed prices worldwide. On the top of it without dealer network. All of as would be able to configure and order our car without a dealership and SA. They totally unnecessary in our computerized life, eating our money for nothing.
Pricing is fixed from manufacturer to PCNA and from PCNA to dealer network. Market starts to work (prices vary) between the buyer and dealer. I mean the dealer is not able to get more cars offering higher whole sale prices, PCNA also not able to offer higher prices to Porsche getting all or most of the produced GT cars to US. These limited cars are kind of marketing driven, not market.
Porsche wants to see these cars on roads and tracks not in hands of flippers or in garages for sure. As I see from this distance ADM feeds dealers, brokers and flippers mostly. Too many resellers too big distance between Porsche and customer building up.

Looks like my car left Emden this morning per the update that I got on my TYD a few hours ago. Assuming the car doesn't get stuck at the Houston port, looks like a November Texas BBQ day is going to happen.
