The SC is a heritage product.

The Touring is a GT product.

The SC is like buying a Cartier watch.

The Touring is like buying a Rolex Submariner.

WIS will get the analogy.

One is a lifestyle statement; the other is a purposeful built tool with bespoke mechanisms.

Or both Rolex versions - a Sub and a rare limited edition Rolex?

There's no way the SC is akin to the Submariner Hulk.

I assume the 6 speed can't handle the torque.

I think a better analogy would be comparing two models within the same brand. A chrono Nautilus (Touring) vs a minute repeater, world timer with decorative enamel dial (SC). I'd argue that both are purposeful built tools, have bespoke mechanisms and are lifestyle statements.

As with watches, a person buying the SC likely already has a Touring or other GT product(s).

I was surprised to see this thread resurface. Original post date was 4/22. Since then I think everyone has seen what a well balanced and highly desirable car the SC has turned out to be. Lucky are the few who have landed one!

One could argue this is best post of 2023.

I do enjoy looking at GT3 tourings at cars and coffees after I finish ripping in the canyons.

The engine/transmission/drivetrain combination of the SC is unique so I guess this is the car having "bespoke mechanisms"?

ROTFLMAO

There are many things wrong with the statement below that I don't even know how to respond to it

I wouldn't take a Sport Classic for 150k. Just not my cup of tea. Never liked it and just saw one in person and thought it was super meh.

If you want to track your 992 and listen to the flat6 NA, take a touring or may be the winged gt3.
If you want the most beautiful 992 take the SC and enjoy the 2+2. (not enough mile to talk about driving impressions and the specific temper)
Two different purposes and state of mind.
The most suitable for me - for this period of my life - was taking the SC.
