Ok, so let me get this straight:
- car is initially listed for $450k
- then a day or so later, the online price is bumped up to $499k
- and then we learn that the car DID sell for $450k…

…so, in essence, this stealership is trying to pave the way for the next Touring “consignment” they get to make it look like they got $499k!?!?

Talking about pumping and dumping… there is really no end (and shame) in sight!

I know nothing about this other what is in this thread, but it is a pretty common negotiating technique... Car at 450..buyer offers less, seller says he is firm... Buyer decides to wait.. Seller says better take the 450 because market is going up... Raises list price to 500..buyer gets tricked and panics and pays the 450 feeling like he got lucky... Sucker..

Ps. If that buyer is reading this... I have a very rare 993 turbo s that I am asking 700k for... Several people interested, but no one taking it just yet. So much demand I think I have it underpriced. About to ask 800k. Need to know by tomorrow if you want it at 700. My boss, wife, is saying I have to shoot for 800 if it doesn't sell at 700 immediately. Let me know asap!

I don't believe that you even like steak. I heard on some other forum that you are a vegan. Prove me wrong before you can buy my car!

Car is now 800, but I might raise it to 900!
