HELP! Key locked in frunk
Posting for a friend . . .
Thieves stole my friend's key for his 992 GT3 from his office (but not the car, the car was at his house). My friend is finding out now, unfortunately, that Porsche put his spare key in the frunk. The car was locked at his house. A locksmith was able to get into the car and unlock it but the frunk release button will not open the frunk. Does anyone know how to get into the frunk here?
We have tried the following but with no luck:
There are a lot of posts about getting the frunk open using an emergency cable but accessing that is going to be almost impossible without take the wheel off, which the key to unlock the wheel is . . . in the frunk. So that's not an option currently.
Let me know if anyone knows a way to trick the car into opening the frunk.

We have tried the following but with no luck:
- Use the dead-battery fuse in the fuse box to power the frunk circuit --- doesn't work.
- Lock and unlock the doors and then try the frunk release button --- doesn't work.

Burning Brakes
Seems like a weird story... Or at least one with significant missing information.
My frunk release works fine without the key. Maybe try using the phone app to lock/unlock and call the dealer ASAP for new keys.

Your frunk release works because you used a key to unlock the car and deactivate any security used to keep the compartments closed. If you were more detailed oriented and read carefully, this situation is different.

What's weird about the story? What other "missing information" do you suspect I'm leaving out?

Not sure I understand trying to “jump” the fuse box. Is the batt dead??
Perhaps wait until dealer is open and get a new key programmed?? Unless you want to d@ShakeNBake suggested.
